^was getting repeatedly rinsed in the crucible by that. Hate it already.

Anyone still need the Sexy Mythoclast catalyst? Being using the diet version and it’s absolutely shredding this season, with its infinite ammo and all the buffs.

The infinite ammo change is good. Not that players particularly have trouble finding it on the ground, but it’s one less thing to fret about.

Astral Alignment is… fine. I feel like it barely explains itself, but you can kind of wing it at first. Then again, I guess it’s nice to have something that’s more involved than (for example) Battlegrounds.

I like the infinite primary ammo, if only because it makes it easier to switch weapons mid-fight. Always felt needlessly punished when I did that.

Logged in last night, got the new exotic from the season pass, felt the to-do list stretch out in front of me (quest step 1 of 53!) and thought, eh, not sure I can be arsed with this. Then I got booted from the game before firing a bullet and was told the servers were at capacity, so I went off and played Hades instead. Kinda regretting the £8 I spent on Silver, there.

That's the questline for the entire season, best I can tell.

With the new season stretching until February, I'm quite happy sitting out until I've actually got a bulk of time to play and just chew through the weekly crud over a solid week, just like Season of the Forge. I got burnt out of Splicer's activity very quickly over the last season and I still haven't come back outside of fucking around with xcloud.

Looking forward to playing it when I do, though. The activities will still be fairly populated thanks to cross-play, and Fighting Lion should have infinite ammo unless they dunk on the thing mid season.

I'm not 100% sure the change to make primary ammo infinite is all upside, after a massive one evening of play.

Whilst I agreed with Bungie's "running out of primary has never been interesting" rhetoric and was pretty OK with the change in advance, having done it for an evening, does it bring in some downside?

It seems like you now inherently know you're not going to run out, it encourages a stand back in chip away mentality. I don't need to close, I don't need to push, I'm not going to run out. Tuck in behind the doorway, block, whatever and plinky-plink with a scout. Not sure it's without drawbacks.

That's kind of how a lot of the high-level stuff works out anyway, I suppose. Might encourage that in more workaday stuff (which is pretty much all I play these days) but where's the fun in that, eh? Go run at some stuff.

Fighting Lion has been tweaked so it has infinite ammo but reload time is dependent upon hitting more than one enemy with the blast.

I'm excited by the possibilities of infinite ammo Devil's Ruin, especially if they haven't fixed the reload bug. Didn't have time to test it yesterday so not sure.

So I was transferring an exotic from one character to another via the iOS app - which crashed in the process. And now said exotic is nowhere to be found.

Not on any character or in vault? Is it gone for good?

It was the first one you get from the season :(

Haven’t played any Destiny 2 since the very early days of Lost Light. Is there anywhere I can catch up on what I’ve missed both lore and mechanics?

Why does this game still not have Monster Hunter-style loadout management built-in?

So many different builds you can put together then fine-tune with mods, but then you have to do it all again manually when you want to switch to something else (the API still can't do mods, so DIM can't do them, so its loadout management doesn't cut it either). That just encourages people to stick with a couple of good-enough builds, whereas Monster Hunter adds hundreds of hours to its endgame when you start putting together hyper-specific builds which you can switch between on a whim.

Same thing for ornaments and shaders, there's so much fashion fun to be had with them, but again you have to do it all manually, so who could be bothered putting multiple full sets together?

Anyway, Lucky Pants is now amazing with a fast ROF hand cannon.

I loved this game but I haven’t a clue what’s going on now, and after a 2 year hiatus It would be easier to learn Russian and learn how to pilot their spacecraft.

Shoot mans watch numbers go up! But not really, it’s practically a full on RPG at this point. However the New Light onboarding quest in the new Cosmodrome area does a really good job of introducing the necessities, especially menu navigation for once. Much has moved on since us running around the Dreaming City in circles popping hallucinogens looking for invisible platforms (except that is still a thing).

Has there been any comment on Witch Queen for Game Pass? Will it be day 1 like Beyond Light and we just have to buy seasons? How is that going to work with these deluxe version perks.

Witch Queen is not going to be included on Game Pass. 🙁

I was concerned about the size of the ring when ordering, but if I put it on my middle finger and let it settle, it doesn't move around.

It actually looks alright. Will be keeping it as an ornament though, definitely won't be wearing it outside.
