Destiny 2: Lightfall

Grave Robber works really well with Waking Vigil (Awoken hand cannon), as you’re almost invariably going to be up close with adds while using it.

I don’t know why Bungie / High Moon are so into sliding all of a sudden, it doesn’t feel like a particularly natural extension of your moveset. The new arc Titan super has an ability where you get a boost to weapon power if you slide while picking up ammo, and I feel like I’d need to completely rewire my brain to use it. If you want to make sliding into a thing, fully commit to it, and give us Vanquish-style 100mph fag-fuelled power knees.

Someone - not me, I’m busy - should develop an app that uses the API to identify weapons with the best roll and flag them to the player. I can’t be bothered with the faff of bringing up a new weapon and agonising over whether to infuse it, use it, or dismantle it - something that quickly told you whether this weapon works best with Grave Robber or Tap the Trigger (or whatever) would be useful, and you could probably crowdsource the data. Although I imagine there’d be a fair bit of block voting against whatever is the current pariah gun (Edge Transit, MIDA, etc).

That's where the curated rolls come in. They're not just from the raid, afaik. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but basically, if a weapon drops and it's already fully masterworked, then it's a curated roll: Essentially the best roll you can get (according to Bungie).

I think there are other sources - for example, apparently the Drifter has given out Gambit rewards of curated Trust hand cannons. Stuff can drop from Nightfalls as well - although I don't know how many Nightfalls can drop curated weapons. Warden of Nothing has one.

Well, I wouldn't know, would I? I've. Still. Never. Had. One.

TWAB

Changes to the Malfeasance quest include the Ascendant Primeval Servitor spawning more frequently (almost as much as other bosses) during full curse weeks, and less frequently but still more than now in other weeks. Other changes to Gambit include your Sexy Goddam Sleeper only getting 2 rounds from an ammo box instead of 4 (hopefully that's the end of the Sleeper 'rebalancing').

Destiny 2 Update 2.0.4, tentatively scheduled for 16 October, includes the following:

  • Added the ability to hover over Lost Sectors to see their name once a player has looted them
  • Players can now track up to three pursuits
  • Added Through Fire and Flood, Zenobia D, and Crooked Fang-4fr to the world Legendary pool— Edge Transit will have some company
  • Increasing Scout Rifle damage in PvE and against non-player enemies in Gambit
  • Fixed a bug where Prime Engrams were going straight to the Postmaster at the end of Crucible matches; they will now show alongside other end-of-match rewards
  • Added transmat effects to Collections, under the Flair category
  • Tracking for acquired transmat effects began with the launch of Forsaken on September 4; transmat effects gained (inventory or Postmaster), used, or dismantled after that date will be unlocked in Collections
  • Transmat effects are unlocked when added to player inventory, NOT when you gain ships that have them pre-socketed
  • We have identified a very rare issue where the Gambit invasion portal will not reactivate once used, and we are currently developing a fix
  • We are developing a fix for an issue where One Thousand Voices may cause loud screeching audio when fired while strafing or jumping

Destiny 2 Update 2.0.5, tentatively scheduled for 30 October, might include the following subject to developmental changes or delays:

  • Rebalancing functionality of Distribution/Dynamo perks, requiring players to be near opponents for Super energy benefits
  • Slightly increasing Sword damage in PvE to address player feedback
  • Slightly increasing Fusion Rifle damage in PvE
  • Increasing viability of Malfeasance in PvE and Gambit activities
  • Adjusting visibility of the Titan’s Banner Shield, making it easier for players to see through the effects
  • Adjusting Exotic rewards to help reduce the number of duplicate drops
  • Players may still receive duplicates, but there will be better chances for Forsaken exotics when receiving Exotic rewards
  • The chance for a Nightfall Unique Reward to drop will increase each time a Nightfall is completed without a unique drop
  • Adding Masterwork Cores as rewards for specific Spider “Wanted” bounties and general Scrapper bounties
  • Reducing the time for single-shader deletion from your inventory
  • We are developing a fix for an issues where a team will defeat the Ascendant Primeval Servitor, but the opposing team receives credit for the kill

There is to be no heroic or prestige mode for the Last Wish raid, just the existing (and soon to come) challenges.

Festival of the Lost begins on 16 October 'with a celebration of lost heroes and a new challenge to tackle. It includes a costume party, and you’re all invited. It ends with a quest to solve a murder.'

Fuller details of the rest of this season's content will be available next week.

You can get over 1k on WoN even with a sleeper, as I did it with 2 others from here. Got over 160k I think.

Do you get valor from Iron Banner now? less than 2 resets off Redrix, and dont want to waste time with IB if it doesnt.

It does yeah - double/triple as well!. 2 resets left? Bloody hell! I've just reset oce

Yeah, I reset three times now without really trying (just doing the quests), so I'm hoping I can get at least 1 reset out of this week/weekend. It'll be pushing it though with us raiding so often this week, as well as doing shattered throne and the festival stuff.

Genuinely useful! :) When I'm going through Dreaming City objectives I often get to the Lost Sector bounty and forget where the heck I'm going. :P

190-odd k:coffee: Pity we didn't quite make 200, and admittedly that is cos we just burned the boss before any adds spawned. But feh. You don't have to keep pulling the trigger unless you want to.

The update's out - 1.463GB on my PS4. Fairly quick to download, but it'll take an age to 'copy', as usual. Unfortunately I think the update only appears when you launch the application, so people just leaving their PS4 switched on and hoping for the best may be out of luck. Those capable of remote play best start up the game if they don't want a lengthy delay this evening.

Have you got an SSD? Funny, you've never mentioned that before. I think mine would copy faster, but the main thing slowing it down appears to be transferring over all those Braytech weapons. I just have far too many of them.

Reduced aim assist on Sleeper Simulant

Buffed aim assist on Linear Fusion Rifles (not including Sleeper Simulant)

Edge Transit has some company; added Through Fire and Flood, Zenobia D, and Crooked Fang-4fr to world Legendary pool

Fixed an issue where powerful gear could sometimes drop at the same Power level as a character or below

Raised the low end of powerful gear, which slightly increases the average Power upgrade per powerful drop

Hmmm, when are they gonna fix the disappearing weapons bug caused by using Phoenix Protocol and Well of Radiance? I thought the bug only happened in the Blind Well, but it happened in the raid too.

From Patch Notes

Fixed an issue in which using the Phoenix Protocol Exotic chest with Well of Radiance could result in weapons not rendering
