I think i've done pretty well with exotics so far, i've had 4 and 3 have been new ones... Trinity Ghoul, Queenbreaker and Geomag Stabilizers. I'd trade em all in for that awesome one-eyed Titan helmet though.

I actually thought it was only dishing out new ones (albeit at a much slower rate) until I got a Coldheart yesterday.

Oh, aye, I forgot about that. Graviton Lance. Some fellas just seem to get all the new ones, I guess. I have had one new exotic - the Warlock boots, the Geomags - but the other exotics I've had are Graviton, Telesto, Sealed Ahamkara Grasps, Lucky Pants (lol), and I seem to recall Dragon's Shadow or something, which I must have put into something else as I don't have it now.

Oh, I did get Queenbreaker too, but although it's new to D2 it's not really new, is it? I never got on with it in D1 and it's no different now really.

I've not had one new exotic in that case, as I had the Queensbreaker as well, but nowt else. Poor Scruff, the weight of all those new exotics must be terrible.

I did get a 570 Prime engram drop last night though!

It was....an Edge Transit

Wavesplitter is too much fun in PvP. The ammo economy for it is abysmal, as it seems to be for all trace rifles right now, but even with that, it can melt someone from halfway across the map. The Supercharged Battery perk really seems to make a difference too - it goes into overdrive for around 10 seconds after picking up an orb of light. And I love how that's reflected visually in the ADS display. More of exotic weapons feeling this exotic, please.

I’m obviously doing something wrong as I have yet to receive an Edge Transit!

Have had two exotics so far, Worldline Zero which I was pleased with as I was never going to hunt all the glowy things on Mars and I do love me a sword and a gauntlet with a bonus for Blade Barrage, which is somewhat useless to me lacking the new Solar super

Blade barrage is so good though, make sure you unlock it next!

Shards of Galanor are flipping amazing. The only Y2 exotic I’ve got so far and really the only one I wanted. Almost full blade barrage refill if you get a triple kill (and don’t die before it recharges).

So satisfying

What’s going on with motes of light in Iron Banana!?

I’ve done my 30 games and finished all the quests apart from the hundred motes, I’m on 23/100 and that’s madness, assuming I got a lowly 2 super kills per round I should be on 60 motes and the last round I got 5 super kills and only 2 motes?!?

Finally completed Cayde's Will - thanks post-patch alterations. :P The mission on Titan was a nice way to wrap things up, although I still love my Polaris Lance (which also has Firefly) so I'll have to make some decisions over explodey exotics.

Yeah I finished it last night. I was at 4/5 Guardian kills but Sleeper Simulant was making it a nightmare to kill that last person with a handgun. So once the change happened (and it reset me to 0%) I cracked on and got it.

I normally use a hand cannon anyway so I'm loving Ace of Spades. Already had the ornament ready for it.

I also recently got Lord of Wolves and The Chaperone - plus Lucky Raspberry chest armour but that the only Exotics so far.

I did upgrade my Whisper so it is sitting at 526 which is nice. It really does wipe the floor with any yellow plus instant reload on three crits is just superb.

You only get orbs on multikills I think, not crouching behind a corner with a shotgun with field prep :P

Sorry couldnt resist. Short answer - its rubbish, and I've only managed 57/100 after playing A LOT of games of Iron Banana. Its only on multikills with your super, and then you only get one orb for 2 kills right next to each other. Its either that or you get 1 orb per super, which would be super duff.

Apparently masterworked weapon multikills orbs work for the bounty, but I cant confirm. I should probably use my MW'd Acrius and try it out really to see.

Edit: Just tested the "Rifle Loader" perk (Increases reload speed for any Rifle-class weapon), as no one else seems to have done so that I could see, and it does in fact work for the following weapons (there are a lot):

Auto Rifles, Pulse Rifles, Scout Rifles, Sniper Rifles, Fusion Rifles and Linear Fusion Rifles.

If you ever get "Enhanced Rifle Loader" as a perk on arms, then you've probably hit the jackpot, as it should make the above listed weapons reload at Outlaw perk speeds.

Yes orbs, my bad!

I still don’t have a shotgun I use in crucibubble as my glory days are behind me in this, far too much Fortnite has been played so I’m not in the Shotgun/Blink grove yet - and blink is rubbish now :(

The orb thing is indeed silly esp as warlocks have stupid supers now that you can just side step, killing a decent player is hard enough as it is let alone a few of them - really need to try the new void one as super meta is defi the fast movement type that Titans and Hunters have in abundance!

Well that explains it. I use Bow and Hand Cannon both masterworked and mine is sitting at 22/100

The void one is utterly ridiculous if you pop it at the right time. You get a pretty decent damage res and then health on kills. All it takes it know when to pop it (i.e. NEAR people :P Control is brilliant).

On a related note: Drifter's amazing when you kill 4 people while invading.

Arc Hunters with the Exotic Chest are still the most OP though

I killed 4 while invading but 1 was the same guy twice. Drifter still lost it though

I like reading this thread. I have no idea what most of you are talking about, but makes me realise I need to up my game.

Hit the level 50 cap now and very confused about the sheer number of activities available to increase my power - just keep getting level 500 gear. Problem is I get about an hour of time per evening, and I spend 30 minutes of it blankly looking at a wall of things I need to do and don't know which is best.

Look for any activity that nets you a "Powerful Engram". They reset every week (like complete one crucible match, one gambit match, one strike etc.) and others are daily (complete a heroic story mission, a vanguard strike). Basically do all the ones that require only one activity if your time is limited.

Do what you like :)

Weekly Challenges are the best way to get "Powerful" stuff (these will drop above your current overall power level, everything else at or under it. So if you're 500 everything will drop that, except Powerfuls that will drop 501-509 [guessed numbers...they'll be higer than 500])

"Solid Yellow" Stars indicate "Weekly" Challenges (Tues to Tues) - e.g. 5 Cruicible Matches, 3 Strikes

Outline Yellow Stars indicate "Daily" (who the fuck knows what Bungie means by that) - e.g 1 Strike

Do which ones you like (or all of them if you really want to level up!)

If you're fresh off the campaign, make sure to follow Petra's quest (the end of campaign isn't the end) and you'll unlock another "endgame" zone - The Dreaming City

But also - play what you like, even if you don't get gear.
