I did Gambit last night, ranked up and The Drifter's icon was flashing in the tower. He told me my wins and losses now counted, and he had his eye on me.

 

What the hell does that mean? Can you lose Infamy when you lose matches? I thought you couldnt lose Infamy in Gambit.

My word the busywork needed for some Warmind exotic quests is fecking dull but I have a Polaris and almost a sleeper, I had to have a break so when I was doing the escalation protocol stages I ended up in a decent team that hit a level 6 and then a short while ago finished a level 7 and got the shotgun from it - very pleased with that and how easy it is to get escalation teams even now - I guess loads or returning players need sleeper!

 

Gambit, my word I love that mode and while as a solo player it’s utter luck the times I’ve gone in as a duo or fireteam of 3 have all been great fun - had the closest finish imaginable on one the other day - everything I love about the mode summed up with a victory snatched from certain defeat...

If anyone is wondering if there's any difference between "Better Already" and "Recuperation" on class items, then one is actually miles better than the other, but based on the name of the "Better Already" perk you'd think it would be the better of the two, whereas its really not (See video below in spoiler).

Recuperation is the better of the two, as it gives a large chunk of health back instantly, whereas the Better Already perk just kicks off health regeneration, which can be interrupted by gunfire, meaning in clutch situations Recuperation comes out on top.

I don't think I'll even bother going into the raid for a long time after the hours I've spent watching these streamers.

 

You need to be very high light or you're be banging your head against a brick wall because there is a possibility to do it, rather than being able to work out and complete the mechanics.

Why would you be looking forward to going into the raid, if you’ve been watching the streams, you’ve already spoiled the mechanics & the environments?

 

I would have loved to watch them trying to work it out, I think it would have been great but I just can’t ruin it as I’d rather do it myself. 

 

Very interesting that it hasn’t been beaten yet, which I’m guessing is down to light level far more than mechanics. 

 

We’re going in tonight, all massively under levelled so it should be a frustrating evening!

They desperately need to massively increase penalties for leaving Gambit.

 

Given the impossible nightmare it makes the game for remaining teammates it happens far too frequently  

 

3 matches in a row that became 4vs2 shitfests after first round

They've temporarily removed the 15 minute ban penalty for leaving due to connection problems people have been having. As long as it's like the there's zero chance I'm staying in the game if I see it's matched me and 3 other solo players up with a full clan. It's just no fun at all. Thank god I've got the first part of the Aces bounty finished so that's me not arsed about Gambit outside of the daily and weekly milestones for it

Has it changed in a way someone who hasn't reached it yet will recognise? Or will I be oblivious seeing as I have yet to see the area for myself anyway?

So I've done the strike & then the first additional mission you get from Petra ('Broken Courier' collecting the Awoken relics) and then once it completed I'm sure it said there was another quest available after but I can't see the marker anywhere. Anyone have a clue?
