While I am glad that I can basically walk into the next two faction rallies, claim my masterwork and be done with it, I would sincerely hope that Bungie changes up the formula for next season. Running heroic public events and that one pissing EDZ lost sector for 4 evenings in a row is not my idea of A Good Time.

Just seems like a bit of a faff when I do want to switch between Faction stuff and non-faction. It’d be nice to have a quick, non-fast-travel way of clearing it. Oh well.

Guess that works. It just feels like a system that’s shoving its way in front of the rest of the game going “HEY DOG HAVE YOU HEARD THE GOOD WORD ABOUT REDESIGNED FACTION RALLIES?” I expect a redesign eventually.

As I posted previously, they are aware its not gone down well with the community, so expect some tweaks before next faction rally (hopefully).

Not sure if I’m reading this correctly but if you think you can get the masterwork straight away with the other factions then that’s not true. You will have to grind up to rank 50 with each of them respectively.

I don't know why I thought rank transferred across factions. Hopefully they tweak the process and improve it before the next rally, and not the next season.

Obviously I popped out of my menus to say hi to my adoring fans, but you can’t associate with these people for too long - perhaps just long enough to sign something that’ll provide a modicum of relief from the misery of their mundane little lives - for fear they start getting the wrong idea.

Legend of Acrius Quest; is it a one time deal, as in locked to a specific character or can I do it on all my characters?

 

I’ve got it on my Titan ( up to the prestige step ) but if I ever do the Prestige Raid, it’ll probably be on my Warlock so figured I could probably get it on that character instead. 

 

A lengthy Google doesn’t return a concrete answer, so has anyone done it / know if I can?

I think you'd need to get the quest on your other character if you wanted to do it there, but I don't know for sure. It's in the Pursuits tab now, which I think is character-based.

It doesn’t seem clear if you can even get the quest to drop ( Cabal on Nessus ) in another character.....

I completed Acrius on my Hunter, and my Warlock has the quest in his Pursuits tab at the Destroyer of Worlds stage (complete Leviathan). Never bothered doing Leviathan with my Warlock, but it's been there since last year so if nothing's changed, the answer is 'yes'.

Finally hit rank 50 of the faction rally. Now to decide what I hate most - Destiny 2, the EDZ, or myself.

I managed to get to Rank 31 on the faction rally and I can honestly say I've never been more tired of the game or doing the same stuff.

 

I'm really glad I fly back to the UK this week solely to get away from the damned thing. I think they have made a massive mistake doing it this way.

At the end of Faction Rally week 1, I find myself the recipient of: Graviton Lance catalyst, Crimson catalyst, Tractor Cannon catalyst, Borealis catalyst and I also finished the Nascent Dawn and Sleeper Simulant questlines. Fucking hell, that was a lot of play. I've ended up like rank 57 with Dead Orbit.

Cayde-7 doesnt sound as good to me, though it allows Bungie to use their long-time favourite number I suppose. Then again, he may stay dead, which could be a good thing for the plot of the expansion, and Bungie wouldnt have to pay Nathan Fillion to do any voicework anymore. I'm opting for the former option though..

 

Also Uldrens a cunt, confirmed. Wonder if they'll use that clip (with a bit of a rejig) of Uldren pointing his gun at us from the original Destiny trailer somewhere in Forsaken.
