funny I always thought this was a clarke novel that kubrick adapted. turns out the novel came out after the movie (although the movie is based on it!). based on my wikipedia research. they seem to have worked together on the screenplay using an idea that arthur had. wonder who actually has the rights.

I think Spatula was referring to the fact that in Warframe your Ghost companion is basically merged with the character of Rasputin (both being pre-fall AIs who actually helped the Collapse in some undefined way). I actually like their approach a bit better, it's not like your Ghost is much of a worthwhile character in its own right, is it?

 

Anyway, the leak is probably fake, no way they're introducing multiple new enemy factions - after a year the best you got was a reskin.

Nothing is really game play related in the store. But these are the exact vanity items that people would want as end game rewards. Being able to purchase this both reduces it's value as a rare item and takes it out of the pool of prestige rewards. Prices in the store are also very expensive. On average I would say 20 quid gets you about 300-400 dust. The price of that ornament was 2000 I think. The price of the exotic emote was 3000 plus. I find myself in the weird position of this being my absolute favourite game of all time (after dark souls) but being both confused and disgusted by the business practices around it. I like it way better than D1.

Wow, the only number one this game gets from me is the most disappointing game I’ve ever played - it’s finally knocked MK64 of its perch, both games share similar levels of hype and love of the original game but then underdelivered

 

Eververse is far worse than anything EA have done and I’m disgusted by Bungie and their attitude over the whole debacle, they have gone from a solid fave studio of mine to one that I will happily boycott from here on in and that’s pretty sad as while Destiny wouldn’t trouble my top ten it did have some truly great gaming moments and I do miss the ritual of playing with my mates.

From memory you need to have turned in a certain level of packages to get the weapons armour on offer even i fyou have the tokens - i think it says if you hover over them.

I’m having a real conflict about what to use my ten masterwork cores on! I’d rather replace Uriel’s with a masterwork Valkadyn, but if I do it to curtain call I’ve got two to use that are decent.

Worth considering which weapons are best for mutikills. Also short range is better as the orbs spawn closer to you and they are easy to pick up.

The Japanese store's version has various mistakes, and the sentence structure doesnt make sense as its been translated (badly) from English to Japanese, as multiple Japanese people have pointed out. The privacy policy weblink is also the American version, which is the most telling.

I don't think you can do the quests again but once unlocked they are added to Mercury/ Vance's loot pool so you can get them as random drop.

happy new year renegades! hope everyone had a nice break. even weavus. I wonder what changes Bungie will make to sniper rifles in 2018. surely they can't be happy with having a weapon archetype that is simply out of the game. I can't remember having been killed by one on the PC ever. it's interesting as it had made me question whether I ever had any fun with them. I much prefer the PvP in D2 and I have never missed them. I think fusions, shotguns and rockets landed in a sweet spot as they are all usable/and often used in cruzcible. but they have definitely broken sniper rifles and I don't see an easy solution to that without making sweeping changes to the way load-outs work.

update on antiope-D it is the fucking dog's bollocks. there is no weapon in the game that is as fun in PvP. it makes me play more aggressively and rewards mobility and clever environment navigation. they should have a way to get it outside of RNG. it fucking sucks to have to grind weapon parts for Banshe until he can be fucking bothered to give you something other than call to serve. 

EDIT: pro-tip. hold on to Sondok-c (blue) when you get it  from the adventures in Nessus as it is just a good with one extra bullet. lol

Sorry if it's old news - a nice take on the "infinite forest" concept here:

 

 

As well as the "random" environments feeling samey, I always thought it was weird to contain the forest as an activity in missions/adventures only. It'd be cool to have something that you could freely go back to for the heck of it.

Rocket Launchers have been removed from the game - At this point I wont be surprised if that actually happens.

 

I saw that Infinite Forest concept on Reddit the other day, and its what it should have been like, not just some areas you can run through to the next adventure or whatever. You currently dont even need to kill any enemies, unless its one needed to open the way forward.

Meanwhile, in Destiny 1, Future War Cult are this week selling a god-roll hand cannon. The Wail currently comes with High-Calibre Rounds, Firefly and Outlaw. The Nightfall has Berserk, Match Game, Specialist, Solar Burn and Daybreak.

 

A three-year-old game that's currently only being supported by vendor dice rolls is still capable of more exciting things than its sequel. What a miserable state of affairs.

Yesterday was the first time whilst playing the weekly events that I said to myself I am bored of this I want to go play Fortnite instead.

So I'm out for now. Will be back when the next DLC is out.

 

Destiny 2 has taught me never to go full in on digital with season pass again. £80 wasted I feel.

Hello, it's a-me, I'm the guy who bought The Division: Gold Edition, only played the first DLC for about 10 minutes, didn't even download the rest, spent a year regretting the purchase and moaned about it to anybody who would listen, who then went on to pre-order the Digital Dickhead edition  of Destiny 2.

The only thing I plan on-re-ordering at the moment is Yakuza 6. Luckily there's not even a sniff of a season pass or GaaS bullshit with that one. You can pay £40(!) extra for a version that comes with whisky glasses though.
