I actually might give it a quick look, as I largely enjoyed it, it just became apparent once I was fully levelled that the endgame was conspicuous by it's absence.

 

It may just be that I need to stop playing games that expect you to just play them indefinitely (especially if it's just for shiny trinkets and loot), or things where I'm reliant on others to get the most out of them, and should stick to things that have a more clearly defined beginning and end; I get too wrapped up in them, and then never play the countless (great) games I could go off and enjoy elsewhere, without needed to worry about anyone else.

Not sure if this is correct, but Reddit is saying the milestones you complete on your first character each week are the only ones that will give dawning armour, ghost shells, and so on, whereas if you do the milestones on a second character (and 3rd) that engram will only give shaders. No armour, or other drops.

 

Oh and then theres this:

Actual Space Magic in Destiny 2 - Trials is gonna get cancelled over Xmas for this I suspect.

Fucking unbelievable, honestly. I am honestly offended by it, and I got it for free.

Seriously? Amazon lists it as a speaker on the website. Sounds like the plastic ghost they gave away with the idiot's edition of the original Destiny has more functionality, at least that didn't need to be plugged in.

I fucking hate Paul Tassi. I’m fine with the community being pissed of fans giving feedback, but he’s literally done nothing but get paid by Forbes to whine constantly about the game since release, but continues to play and complain. That script is poorly written shite designed entirely to cater to angry people on Reddit and make him more money.

Turns out I was slightly wrong about the Ghost speaker, I just hadn't paired it properly. Once you do it plays audio from the Ghost (although in quality terms it's a petrol-station-bought Alba pair of computer speakers that have been salvaged, sodden, from a recycling centre). I'll edit my post.

I am having an absolutely briliant time with this again, loads to do, still feels brilliant and even enjoying PvP thanks to bonkers-o-mayhem.

How active is the Muk clan now? Everyone I played with is never on so still haven't tried the raid lair :(

Also I just spotted a mukker in the wild! @Lyrical Donut, never seen anyone I know in the tower since beta D1!

Between Heroic Strikes (an extra Powerful Gear activity) and Mayhem (crucible is fun again) I'm in love once more. The Dawning gifts are hit and missing but having a reason to bobble about in world (even if it's just daily challenges with lipstick on) is decent.

 

I can do one weekly milestone per night, in theory, and have enough to keep me entertained. The worry is they'll strip some of this back out. Hey ho.

I’m going to be so pissed off when they take Mayhem away again. Is was fucking stupid enough when they made things like SRL and Doubles but dumped them after whatever stupid event they were part of, but ripping out D1 modes and then having them as events is ridiculous.

@markh and I did the Nightfall last night, so the clan has the engram. It's a sad state that this is true on a Thursday night, but there we are. Also, if anyone else wants to run it, it's Arms Dealer with Torrent and Zero Hour. If you know a Titan, it's a breeze.

Voidwalker Warlocks can overcharge their grenade in Chaos spec (drains super energy bar to do so)


But Mayhem recharges it faster than it drains, so if you "charge grenade", you can cancel it to use Super (normally impossible) - but it doesn't use your energy.

 

(You can see me starting to charge grenade in the video above).

 

It's "bugged" as well as it only gives you +1 score (not +3 as Super should in Mayhem I believe) so you can actually be a real hinderence to your team winning.

 

It's silly fun (maybe not for others) - as you fire slow moving tracking balls of death. Works best as staying at back as long range support.

 

Bungie have said a) they can't/won't fix it during the Dawning, and b) no bans will be given out for using it as it's Bungie's error.
