Also good that there is a milestone as an incentive to play it at least three times per week. Excellent!

Yeah, the heroic strike playlist pretty much was Destiny from my perspective, so settling back into it last night was like greeting an old friend, and then shooting him while also being drunk.

It's magical innit?

Almost as good as no HDR on PS4 Pro... how in the hell did they fuck that up so badly? Like I'd understand it if it affected just a few but... everyone??

It's part of their constant effort to differentiate the PS4 experience.

Sorry for taking this off topic but is Halo5 actually good?

I've got it, but when it first came out I played it and had no interest, it just wasn't enjoyable. Has it changed particularly?

Oh, and is anyone who is fed up of Destiny selling an XBox copy with the expansion pass?

Halo 5 PvP really is exceptional. It's incredibly well balanced with a fantastic set of maps and game types. They've made a number of changes to weapon balance since the game released and weapon placement on maps etc. As well as releasing lots of free additional content. Additionally while you still get some bullshit occasionally with lag and latency in general it's pretty solid due to hosted servers.

I only played a little at launch and wasn't initially drawn in but about 6 months later I returned to it and I really got into it and it's the best PvP game I've ever played (even if I am rubbish at it).

Anyway if you want to know more, and I'd be interested in what you didn't find enjoyable about it, then probably best to pose this question in the H5 thread.

Did he get locked out as well for not buying the new DLC?

well this is not crazy. I betcha they will eventually have this if they have not already. if he is selling new exotics, you would not be able to buy them without the DLC

Dear Bungle,

I just played a bit of Halo 3 multiplayer for the first time in ages. It was a custom 1v1 on Guardian and it’s made me wish you’d go back to making a more traditional shooter. It absolutely puts Destiny’s multiplayer to shame.

The original contract with Activision does have a provision, providing Bungie make all the monies, that allows them to work on their self-owned Marathon IP, the more money Destiny makes, the more people they are legally allowed to dedicate to making a new Marathon. And if they manage to printmoney.gif, they even get to make a non-shooter aswell if they so choose at some later date before the contract runs out.

... but as expected, it's really, really short. Man, if they'd built a raid-length raid like that in vanilla, and put some good rewards in it, it would have worked far better than the main raid. It'd work better still without the overarching context of the Leviathan 'wrapper' though.

Just been watching Kraftyy's lot complete their first raid run, which they made look a lot harder than Datto - math class has always been good at optimal dps, after all. I thought it was quite funny at the end (raid reward spoilers I guess, but really not spoilers at all):

Spoiler

He gets a grenade launcher and 18 tokens in total (he probably carried over some tokens from last raid). Back at the tower he hands the tokens in to the sweeper bot for 1 extra rank. That gains him his second reward: a Ghost Primus. Can't wait for that to happen again at the completion of the next DLC's end game.

Still, chin up Kraft. There's always them bright engrams.

Well battle of the lasers in Crucible is currently hilarious overpowered fun.  Kind of reminds me of Mayhem actually (God I miss Mayhem).

Respect to the guys rocking Coldheart currently - not quite sure why you are doing it but the flash of blue and red laser beams all feels very Star Wars and looks spectacular.

Anyway I'm going to miss this Lens when the inevitable nerf comes next week

EVERYONE having Promethean Les is actually kind of fun as a one-off event - it feels a bit like the old mayhem playlists. They should bring back Y1 Thorn for a few days in future. It would be shit for anything more than a weekend, but for now, Les is in town - let’s party.

Personally for me Destiny 1 was much better than them churning out another Halo, it's a far more interesting direction. Especially with the outstanding job that 343 have done with the PvP on Halo 5 (maybe your numbers aren't showing properly on XBL but it looks like you haven't even tired H5 PvP).

Two games of Big Team Battle back in 2016. At least he doesn't quit like that other dude back in Halo 3 I guess...
