Not that I know of. HDR symbol comes up in the top right hand corner when it switches.

Yeah, I was out of the room when it booted up. Bit shit there isn’t an info button or something, to see what’s happening.

Is there a button to press to see if a source is in HDR on the LGB7?

Presumably settings, then see if it’s in “hdr game mode”...

on a B6 I can’t select a true hdr mode i don’t have a hdr signal.

on an xbox, just return to the home screen then go back.

I switched inputs and it showed the HDR icon in the corner when I switched back. It looks lovely, although the cutscenes seem to still be in 1080.

Well, Crimson (the Red Death Handgun) certainly lives up to its Exotic billing. 24 shots, fires in a 3 burst, kills heal and precision kills refill the mag.

It sounds great, and Tess has already given me the ornament for it, so I’m now looking forward to not getting it for weeks.

field report on changes to ttitans (PC). grenades changes are trivial. shoulder charge nerf does affect mobility enough to be noticeable. weapon report: uriel seems to cause more flinch on single player. feels even more powerful at least in single player. nerf to high calibres must be pvp only.  critical damage change is barely noticeable in pve time to kill. changes to omolon sidearms also appear negligible. one surprise regarding vehicles:

Spoiler

got something which is not a sparrow to equip on the sparrow slot.

maybe some weapon sounds have been revisited?

Just go into the full menu and see what picture mode the TV is in.

Forgive my stupidity, but which is the full menu button on the remote? For such a lovely TV, I do think the remote is pretty unintuitive.

I'm not sure about that clan XP notification that apepars on the right of the screen every few seconds, and there's still that immensely long pause between a cutscene ending and the level starting, but otherwise I'm really digging the single player. I've only played up to the Infinite Forest bit, but man, that is one spiffingly handsome level. The idea of the amazing Bungie skybox is a cliche, but it's also completely true in this instance.

I'm also not sure what they've tweaked, but with the Titan solar chest exotic that speeds up your ability recharge, your grenades and flaming fist seem to cooldown at Destiny 1 speeds. This feels like proper Destiny.

You've done it already?

Yeah, bar the adventures and side quests. I beat the main end boss, it was pretty interesting.

It's about the same length as the former season updates. Way longer than TDB.

I started playing at 630, finished at 1030.

It's always done that. It's just that a lot of people might not have noticed it before, because by the time they log in the weekly clan contribution cap's been hit and after that it doesn't pop up any more because further contributions don't count. I guess it's filling up more slowly than it used to.

I never knew that. Weird the stuff you miss in this game.

New patrol area is both small and annoyingly large (without sparrow)

Decided to get tokens to try for new gear - 3 patrols (only 3 in there!), 1 lost sector (dittor) and 75 Cabal.

Took About 30 min (an episode of Just a minute) as pain to find Cabal.

One hand in from challenges, resource nodes and the event once.

Lincoln Green Weapon and Hiero Camo legs.

Both of which I have dozens off.

Well campaign seems a lot of fun so far (4 missions in).  The Infinite Garden is quite something visually and love the No Mans Sky vibe to pre Vex Mercury.

Is there much else beyond the campaign though?  Any new Adventures or quests?  Given Mercury is tiny, a couple of new Crucible maps, a raid 'room' and a powerful gear engram for heroic strikes seeming extremely slight even for Destiny DLC standards...
