Nightfall is The Arms Dealer, with (same as last week) Torrent and Zero Hour. Eeeeeeeeeeasy Prestige I'd say, if anyone's looking for it. (Haven't tried it yet, but those modifiers are always good. If you're a Striker, that is.)

 

Edit: Clock says 20 minutes normal, 16 minutes Prestige.

 

The nightfall last week was exodus black then changed to the pyramidion wasn't it? Or am I going mad?

I was away last week, and working last night, and when I was finally about to turn in I realised I hadn't logged into Destiny all week, and should probably go get my clan engrams. The Titan's on 304 two armour pieces away from the max, so logged in as her, loaded into the Tower and ran off to Hawthorne.

 

She gave me a Crucible engram, that that was it. Was stunned, to be honest. We're a small clan (think there's about 20 of us) but holy moly, what a worrying dropoff.

Well, it was @Harsin's turn to get the Trials engram this week, which was conveniently cancelled. It's not like he couldn't solo the nightfall instead to make up for it, though. Slacker.

I’m general, are people finding their class item is a bit of a sticking point in their progress to 305? I guess it’s the only one which you can’t push up using exotics, and on top of that all purples have a chance of turning into an exotic which guarantees they won’t be a class item. 

 

That said, muttering “please be a cape” every time I go to decode a powerful gear engram does give me a nostalgic D1 feeling.

I REFUSE TO BELIEVE IT IS ENTIRELY RANDOM. I’m getting too many shotguns and fucking grenade launchers and Titan arms. It’s giving me shit I don’t need on purpose because it’s being a bastard. That’s the only thing that makes sense.

I have been doing all my swapping at the tower to get the most immersion... I did use the phone app I just did not know there was a website this good. bloody hell I have been out of the loop. I did take a long break from destiny OG so maybe this came after my time? not sure how I managed to miss it. :facepalm:

 

yeh this too I only ever had the one character. fair.

I won a copy of this from Virgin Media on Twitter. A someone who doesn't get any time at all to play with others, is it worth me getting into this one at all? I know I was able to play the first solo, but I was of the understanding they changed all that for D2.

Did you even tier 12!? :o

 

Its a shame you didn’t use it on Destiny as it’s just a loot management tool now, it was essential in Desntiy to check the roll on guns and whether a bit of armour was any good or not stats wise.

 

Im a bit sad about Destiny at the moment, I’m still checking this thread but not played the game in ages and worse still no compulsion to do so, I don’t feel I’m missing out and frankly the news gets worse and worse - Halloween would probably been enough to get me back in for old times sake, no pumpkins and all hopes of Eris coming back with candy shattered :(

Am I right in thinking this is probably getting no graphical improvements for the One X therefore the Pro is the console version to get? Just got a voucher for Ebay and can get either version for £15.00 or there abouts. Just wanted to check before I purchase.

Yay, another week where there is a reason to play destiny for a couple of hours. Every week should be Torrent prestige.

Dream Team reassemble! The PNF's just about the only really enjoyable thing we do these days.

 

Just, y'know, Mario's out tomorrow. I reckon that might be quite good fun too.

We don't really know yet. But I can't see it being much different, if at all, to the PS4 Pro version (which is basically the same as the PS4 vanilla version). They both run at 30fps, for example. PC's another matter entirely.

I think this one is better/easier to play solo than the first.

personally I don't mind the timed nightfall concept and I think they should always have one buff or something that would encourage you to play differently, try a different class, or a different weapon. for example, hand cannons do twice damage or power weapons do 3 times the damage. but whoever thought it would be fun to have a timer that you need to extend by exploring deserves to be fired on the spot. running through a level trying to frantically find oracles is a fucking travesty of game design. it is as much fun as trying to find the car keys that day you overslept for the new role meeting. it is just baffling that someone whose job title is 'game designer' got paid for coming up with that fucking idiotic system. 

 

EDIT: Also, having a modifier that's a debuff (such as your health does no regenerate) is almost as stupid but not quite.
