I thought this looked amazing, and you just know it's going to have a load of hidden depth. Excited.

This felt like a Dreamcast game to me and I mean that as a compliment. Sort of like Punch-Out, Power Stone and Virtual On in a blender. Definitely a highlight for me.

Yes there are five.

For real?!

Every time it's one step forward, two steps back. This should've come with 8 characters for half the price really. Especially considering you also need extra controller bits*.

*correct me if I'm wrong though

Yep the gameplay on treehouse at the moment is only showing 5 characters on the player select screen.

It is not a release game I think so maybe they will add some more characters.

Have they announced the price?

Looks like great fun, seems to be loads of depth to it and strategy.

I thought of this in another thread but I'm so pleased with it I'm going to leave it here for any bloggers looking for a preview subtitle:

Way Of The Spring-Loading Fist.

Thank you.

Showing up as £50 on Amazon. At that price I'd hope they've a fully rounded single player and more characters because, even for an arch supporter of paying properly for games, that price is steep for what's being shown so far. Fingers crossed there's more depth to justify the price tag because it does look fabulous.

This looks fantastic.

I reckon the long stretchy arms, with the variable time taken for fists to reach opponent and bendiness of the arms could be a very clever way to balance against any kind of imprecision that comes from motion controls, with some good old Nintendo design/balancing magic. Maybe adaptive auto-aim/magnetism and speeding up/slowing down the speed of the fists across the arena. All working behind the scenes while you have fun and feel awesome.

The crazy arenas themselves look good, and allude to a lot of single-player cleverness and flavour waiting to be unveiled.

Love the art style snd animation as well.
