Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Wave 4 Tracks: March 9th

The one thing that's a shame with how much I have played all Mario kart games (apart from tour) is that these new games get released, I do the gp on 100 and 150cc gold them first try and then that's it until I get to play MP.

 

Gone are the days of me working my way through GPs solo until 9 probably. 

 

Great new tracks though, although it's really odd to see some of the new gen versions, in comparison to my memory of the originals. I remember the one on the tree really bloody hard to tell what was going on first time around.

Singapore and Bangkok are amazing tracks, with amazing soundtracks. Singapore sounding brilliant there.

 

Nintendo continue to cross-over and preview between Tour and 8 as well - DS Mario Circuit and Waluigi Stadium not in Tour (as of yet). Tour only Pirahana Plant Cove will be in 8 on the final two waves. When complete I think every single previous MK track will be in Tour (apart from MK8 only tracks). As been expected for a while, MK8 will miss out on quite a few.

I just got this as part of the Online Expansion Pass and although I can see why people were irked at them as paid DLC and they’re not quite as good as the main tracks, it’s really great to see more GBA circuits get upgraded.

They don’t look right. I want Mario racing around the mushroom kingdom or other Nintendo worlds bouncing off mushrooms, not chugging around Berlin or whatever. They should have a Tallon IV or Zebes course, not Amsterdam!

A Booster Course Pass 2 makes a lot of sense - it's already your biggest selling game on Switch so just make MK8 into your service game - loads of tracks just ready to be imported across - and new city tracks can keep MKT going as well:

The new Yoshi’s Island course is an absolute delight. The Bangkok course is brilliant too, full of shortcuts.

Yep, loving the new tracks. Yoshi's Island is the pick of the bunch, looks gorgeous just in handheld (non OLED screen).

Yoshi’s Island really is lovely, it’s nice to see an actual brand new track!

 

The others seem really good too, only played each one once so far, so other than Yoshi’s Island they haven’t left a significant impression on me initially. 
Looking forward to putting some time in, getting beaten by my daughters over the weekend!
