Obviously Apollonia 6 is in a different class though. Blue Limousine is one of my favourite Prince songs by anyone, including Prince…a definitive Minneapolis funk groove.

Incredible.

Well apart from the vocals it is Prince!

I like some of the stuff on the Vanity album - I do have the Apollonia one but rarely play it

He's having some fun with this one

I think this one is ahead of its time.

Talking to a dealer last week who said old Floyd vinyl has dried up - at one point he'd get loads in (I mean, how many copies of DSOTM were sold?) but now it's hard to find, especially The Wall.

According to Discogs, the one above is worth an average of £67. The DSOM I have is £425! If I've listed it correctly.

I think that’s happening with a lot of popular older titles now. I can’t seem to find any Barry White out in the wild in records shops, and his albums used to be everywhere.

This is a great jazz comp on Universal Sound:

From 1997…a look on the price sticker tells me that’s when you could still buy a double vinyl album for £9.95 rrp! I bought it in Imperial on Park Street too, put out of business by Fopp appearing I think.

On the other hand, an amazing movie record that you should still find in charity shops for £2 (and if you can’t what’s the world coming to):

Agreed - well worth picking up. Cracking sleeve too.

I picked up a lovely EP from Juno on a bit of a whim, some Chicago ‘Nu-Disco’ (I think) label called Star Creature.

By Giovanni Damico - it’s great, and was a real surprise to find it arrive on white vinyl with such a lovely sleeve!
