black midi tick that 2nd album box with ease - a great album. Its cut a bit quiet - but it's definitely been mixed to be played loud (no harsh trebles or bass) - expect to crank this one up at least +5dBs over your current listening position to get some engagement out of it

Did you get one of the flexidiscs with yours?

Yeah, I was really happy to find it. Not many XTC records available in this neck of the woods.

I haven't been able to listen to anything for a while, as the phono lead connected to the turntable got mangled in a house move. Had to put the old soldering skills to work.

@LovelymanWhat do you think of the new Portal?

Depends if I have had a smoke or not 😅

It's cool, haven't had uninterrupted listening time with it yet but I like it.

It's very complex, under the surface, so will take me a few listens to start to recognise stuff.

I really like the production.

Yeah, I'm saving it until I've got a bit of time set aside. Want to make the most of it.

@scruffycatAt first I thought that was the Skullflower-related Sunroof but I see it's a Daniel Miller thing. Will have to give that a listen.

I really like the other Sunroof, for what it's worth.

I was thinking of picking up that myself on vinyl, but all the copies seemed to be £50+ so I didn’t in the end. What an album though!
