Captain Marvel - Brie Larson to take the lead - March 2019

Just got around to watching this with my son and it was very enjoyable. A lot better than I was expecting. I didn't particularly care for the last 25 minutes which was a bit of a CGI snoozefest but that can be attributed to a lot of superhero films.

All the 90s references were really well done, Fury and Marvel's relationship was well developed, and all the shape-shifting was great to watch.

It nailed the humour too with a decent script.

Caught up with this one last night - the joy of having Disney+ for the kids.

Thought it was great! Some good humour, enjoyed the 90s references, and it whipped along at a nice pace.

The last 20 minutes or so was a bit less engaging but okay.

Brie Larson as Captain Marvel was excellent and just

Have had this on in the background a few times this past week.

There's a bit where Ben Mendo says "that's not a cat, that's a flerkin" but later in the movie when he's asked if he can turn into a cat he answers "what is a cat?".  That's a bit lazy.

I don't see a logical problem there. He doesn't know what a cat is.
