Yeah, that's news to me.

Could have gone with Michael Jackson too.

I think, since Al Fayed moved on and took the statue with him, the connection has been abandoned. more sadness! I remember them getting in a little bit of trouble for selling Jacko merch in the club shop, hahaha.

Never mind, league one was great.

Your boys had a good go at getting something from tonight, but second half we were really decent despite not having any proper strikers.

Of course, my facebook is lit up with people claiming we can now make the play-offs after a good comeback ignoring we've actually won a relegation 6 pointer rather than it being over 6/7 years ago where we'd both be much higher up the Championship.

Crazy game in Cardiff today.

I had mates back from Australia and Spain to see the game. We all whacked a quid each on our centre half to score first (20/1) which he did after 3 minutes so we are one up and £20 up.

Barnsley then end up 3-1 in front at half time after our Goalie had a nightmare, but we had plenty of goalmouth scrambles/changes which carried on into the second half  (at times it resembled the last few minutes of a cup tie). Their keeper nearly got sent off for a tackle just in the line of the penalty area.

Then ten minutes to go we get it back to 3-2, then equalise in the last minute of normal time - crowd go insane!

5 minutes of stoppage time and Barnsley are on the ropes as we look to win it........except they broke at the death and scored a winner leaving a jubilant home crowd suddenly feeling like we lost the cup final.

Off to see Barnsley play Blackburn today at Oakwell. Predictably, it's freezing up here in Yorkshire and I have to wear proper trousers and shoes and a shirt/tie as we're doing the corporate 3-course meal thing. Hopefully, it'll be a goal fest - it usually is when I go to Oakwell.

I'm missing Plymouth Argyle vs Wycombe Wanderers so that's a stroke of luck :)

Dreadful at Portman Road today - really, really bad. I just can't see what McCarthy's plan is any more - there's no excuses, we're just shit.

I think there are some Fulham fans that frequent this thread? I thought you were very good today - possibly the best footballing team we've had here so far this season. Can see how you'd come up short against the better teams due to lack of penetration / speed at times but you were comfortably better than us today. I think you probably missed out on padding your goal difference a bit with it only being two-nil. However, our keeper did make his customary two or three world class saves a match which kept it respectable.

Still, unbeaten in 2017! COME ON YOU BLUES!

With two ex-Plymouth players on the pitch for opposite teams, I had some vague interest. The day was really good. Arrived at Oakwell at about 1:30pm, got to the corporate suite and had a double whiskey and coke and a pint of lager (£18 - ) I had deep fried brie and onion marmalade for a starter, a lamb steak with mash and fresh veg for main and a lemon drizzle cake for pudding. Half time we got cheese and biscuits - result!

The game was really good and Blackburn were atrocious. Barnsley could have easily been 3 or 4 up by half time but went in 1-0 after a great cross from Connor Hourihane (ex Plymouth player). Blackburn were a complete shambles and Wes Brown was taken off half way through the second half - Barnsley have some real pace in their side and robbed Blackburn over and over again and hit them on the break. They scored to make it 2-0 deep in the second half and that was it. Owen Coyle got so much abuse from the 1,000 travelling Blackburn fans and with minutes to go, most of them went down to the front to await Coyle's walk to the tunnel - they gave him some terrible grief. Blackburn have some half decent players but they're devoid of ideas and look doomed. Barnsley have a really young side and they all look like they like they enjoy playing together - they're physically small but I think they'll do well this season.

Fairly sure it's just me but I'm pleased to be hearing yet another "best footballing side in the league" after an away game! Just a shame we had to let dembele go in the summer, with him up top I really feel like we'd be troubling your Brightons and your Newcastles.

Still, all I wanted this year was to be a good footballing side not worried about relegation, and we've had that in spades.

Shame about Ipswich, always liked McCarthy. He can't have much longer left can he?

Who can tell - brilliant goal from Pitman saves the day today (I bloody love Pitman so was double pleased). If you're unfortunate to sit near me or be on the same walk home then I've been boring on about how they should drop Skuze and play Bru instead for a couple of weeks. Instead Big Mick dropped Douglas for Bru, who I thought then played very well and scored the opener. We then gave a goal away virtually immediately after the start of the second half, did nothing for 30 minutes and Pitman's wonder goal glosses over the short comings of the team in general. Which is pretty much the blueprint for the season so far.

For any Bristol City fans - you weren't very good I'm afraid. Came into it a bit more in the second half (made two changes at half time and equalised) but then seemed caught between pushing on to get a winner and holding on and didn't really do either.

Much needed win on Saturday against a very poor Blackburn team, which we still nearly let in for a draw. We are now effectively the Tom Lawrence and Bartosz Białkowski (I had to Google that) show - Lawrence's second on Saturday is an absolute wonder. From where I stand, I thought it was going into the top tier of the stand and suddenly just dipped and swerved into the corner. Hopefully no one will cotton on the fact that if they stop Lawrence then we've got nothing.

But in spite of that, there are some glimmers of hope. I think we've almost worked out what Andre Dozzell is supposed to be doing - he basically lays off the ball very early and, if (it's a big if) the players around him are up to it, he creates a huge amount of space for other players. It's a wonder to behold when it works, in a good team I reckon he'd be being raved about. Instead the bloke in front of me is screaming blue murder at him for not tackling enough. Josh Emmanuel is a proper right back (which after how ever many seasons of Chambers playing out of position there is a revelation) which means we'll sell him within a season or so.

We're on TV tomorrow - the Lincoln replay. I went to the home game (along with my old man, the only season ticker holder in my block of seats that bothered) and we were fucking dreadful (Lawrence saved us again) - got outplayed at home by a Vanarama team (albeit the league leaders - it makes me feel better). Should be fun (it won't be fun).

I thought that fat lad up front for Lincoln should have been yellow carded for lamping the Ipswich defender in the box. No?

Absolutely. And Ethan Wood deserved at least three yellow cards for his challenges on Tom Lawrence.

Lincoln played well. Ipswich did not deserve to win.

Brighton currently winning 2 - 1 at home to Sheffield Wednesday.

But we've had a red card for a Brighton player which lead to a saved penalty. Brighton get the lead with 10 men, and then a red card for Sheffield Wednesday, due to a fight in the Brighton penalty area.

Good game this one.

EDIT: With seconds to go, Sheffield go down to nine men!
