Pre-ordered this for £36.95 from simplygames. None of this "give us money for things we haven't finished yet" rubbish by going with the deluxe or ultimate versions of this. But yeah it'll be nice to play as Dark Seid on day one I confess.

Loved the first game. Looking forward to playing as Scarecrow, Doctor Fate, Dark Seid, Brainiac, Swamp Thing, etc and even their Emo Joker.

Got £55 of PSN credit for a smidge over £48 from CDkeys last night and pre-ordered it.

Happy with that for the conveniance of digital. ^_^

Think I'm going to do similar except go for dollars as $60 worth of credit is marginally cheaper than 55 quid via CD Keys.

Want it for my brother who doesn't live in the UK so having it available to him instantly is worth the added cost.

I'm intrigued that the iOS version of this seems to be the same game, but rejigged to be F2P.

Isn't that the same as Injustice 1? I seem to recall Ed Boon saying that the iOS version of that actually rivalled the console version in terms of profitability.

Went to my local scene's monthly fighting games tournament yesterday on the understanding that if I did anything better than break even on my entry fees I'd get this. Ended up winning Ultra Streetfighter IV and finishing second in King of Fighters XIV, giving me enough prize money to justify buying this in my head. Fighting games paying for MORE FIGHTING GAMES. I am obsessed.

Thanks to @Misery Guts for the heads up on Simply Games' price, as I was about to pay more for it before seeing your post.

My copy of this just shipped from simplygames to I imagine coincide with the US release on Tuesday. Glad I don't need to wait until later in the week to try out the new characters. Especially the wonderfully creepy looking Scarecrow. :o

Now to hope that the royal mail folks don't mess it up this time...

Mines left too, if i remember correctly it was pretty much next day last time i ordered from them.

On a side note i cant seem to find any option on the mobile game to link to my WB Account?

Anyone got any idea if thats something they'll patch in at a later date etc?

Good good. I eagerly await it's arrival. ^_^

In the Android version of the mobile game that I've played there's an option to "unlink" in the settings menu accessed in the bottom left of the screen. I imagine the game got my account info from when I played the Mortal Kombat X mobile game. That might be where you can link your wb games account too.

Went ahead and bought $50 of credit from CDkeys with 5% off and $10 from Amazon US. Ends up as £45.

My feeling of being a mug was only partially offset by the fact I could start my preorder immediately, until I saw its out tomorrow in the US! Nice.

Playing a bit of the original thanks to Backwards Compat on Xbox to prep for it.

In case anyone is interested, use an address in Oregon to avoid paying sales tax on top of the $60 when the Microsoft store asks you for it.

I'm really, really impressed with this. There's a huge amount of content and the production values since Injustice 1 have gone through the roof. The story mode now has some very expensive looking cutscenes rather than the in engine janky ones in the first game, the levels are just brilliant - and change from character to character in the story mode.

Absolutely brilliant. I think this is the first fighting game to cost full price that genuinely justifies its price tag based on content rather than just counting on you playing it forever. It makes SFVs launch look even more pathetic than.

Amazon US is your friend.

If you don't know how to do it - your UK Amazon account will let you log into the US website. Add an address in a state without sales tax (I've always used one in Alaska but I think Oregon is pretty popular and it's what I used for Xbox) and then it will let you buy it (even if the billing address for the payment method is in the UK). I've just checked and they've got everything in stock, including $60 ones. Just make sure it's the digital one you're buying.

edit: @Harsin if you link the mobile one to the console version you get a free diamond loot box and some other bonuses the more you play. I'm mainly interested in the single player at the moment. Shame you can't use all the cool armor in single player.

Thank you Sir, hopefully i won't get stung too much on my bank card either for a foreign transaction :)

Edit - They didn't let it go through and now i've got to wait 2 hours for them to try again, doh!

Good start, Netherealm haters get your salt ready

When we're fifteen patches deep and the game has revealed itself to be a horrible mess of bad balance decisions that make no sense because NRS have not the foggiest idea what they are doing, a week 1 review score will mean precious little. I'm not a hater, though. I've ordered the game and am really excited to play it (particularly Dr. Fate, who has a positively AROUSING set of options available to him), but I am under no illusion that this will be any sort of departure from NRS' track record. The fact that they always put together a comprehensive, worthwhile and thoroughly polished package for the day one buyer is to be commended, though, so it's nice to see reviews reflecting that.

I'm not entirely sure how that's relevant. SFV is a train-wreck, but that doesn't means NRS aren't notorious for patching every game they put out a ridiculous number of times and generally being terrible at balancing their games.

See?

It'll be patched on day one. Then the day three patch, then the community will cry about one of the zoners being too good, so they'll patch that. Then one of the DLC characters will be S-tier and we'll see a tournament where the whole top 8 is that character, then that'll get patched. Aaaaand so on.

And some fun stuff from their previous DLC releases:

CEO 2013 - Injustice top 8. Scorpion released three weeks before the tournament:

1. AGE|NYChrisG (Green Arrow, Black Adam)
 2. FNATIC|Perfect Legend (Scorpion)
 3. EMP|KDZ (Superman)
 4. DEG (Scorpion)
 5. EMP|REO (Scorpion)
 5. EMP|CD Jr. (Scorpion)
 7. Salt Face (Harley Quinn)
 7. RG|Rico Suave (Black Adam)

Obviously they learned their lesson from that, though. Made sure to err on the side of underpowered for future DLC characters to stop this from happening again...

CEO 2015 MKX top 8. Tanya released three weeks before the tournament:

1. YOMI|DJT (Kung Lao - Tempest, Johnny Cage - Fisticuffs, Sub-Zero - Grandmaster)
 2. YOMI|MIT (Tanya)
 3. YOMI|REO (Tanya)
 4. cR|SonicFox (Tanya)
 5. Deg (Tanya - Kobu Jutsu, Dragon Naginata)
 5. D.R. (Shinnok - Bone Shaper)
 7. cR|DR Gross (Cassie Cage - Hollywood)
 7. RM|HoneyBee (D'Vorah - Swarm Queen)

Summerjam 2015 - (One month and an emergency patch later) Aaaaand she's gone:

1. YOMI|ForeverKing (Kung Lao - Tempest, Predator - Hish-Qu-Ten)
 2. cR|SonicFox (Kitana - Royal Storm, Erron Black - Outlaw, Predator - Hunter)
 3. YOMI|DJT (Tremor - Aftershock, Tremor - Crystalline)
 4. YOMI|MIT (Scorpion - Hellfire)
 5. EMPR|Jupiter (Jax - Wrestler)
 5. YOMI|Michaelangelo (Quan Chi - Summoner)
 7. YOMI|SaltFace (Mileena - Ethereal)
 7. F3|Alucard (Tremor - Crystalline)

From best character in the game to absent from tournaments in a month.

Oh, and MK9 had Jax going from absolutely useless, worst character in the game, to the absolute best character in the game with armour on everything and a corner infinite combo. Subtle tweaks, there.

They are a bunch of absolute clowns.

That said, I am still super hyped for the game and really hope it arrives early today. :)

JLM said it all really. I've the game winging its way to me now, but I've no expectations of it being a well balanced competitive game.

I mean, I mained Batgirl in Injustice 1, and I've never felt so much like I was absolutely cheating.

My only hope with them as competitive games is that the characters who end up being overpowered are the interesting ones. They are absolutely fantastic at coming up with character builds and it always makes me sad when what's broken is something boring.

I mean, Batgirl was a fun design but, vortex into vortex into vortex...

Bane with his self buffs/debuffs was really strong and fun.

Aquaman being able to trait of combos, not so fun.

Grundy, hilariously fun, but not really strong.

Mixed bag really.

I'm really enjoying this. It looks quite nice but for some reason I assumed it would look the same on all formats. It doesn't look as good as it does in certain trailers/youtube videos of the PC version and there are far too many jaggies for me to believe it's 1080p, but still looks quite nice. The level design goes a long way and is probably my favourite thing about it.

I'm absolutely awful at it but am plodding through the campaign on Very Easy (which isn't that easy). Not super keen on using the One pad, either. The analog stick works poorly and the D-pad ain't much cop, either. Trying to do cancels is really quite tough.

Here's me trying to do QCB a couple of times and ending up jumping away from Grodd. <_< Love that particular environment, though.

And one thing that's really winding me up is that hitting the Xbox guide button pauses the game with a great big "GAME PAUSED" on screen, ruining all screenshots other than in cutscenes.

Is there a particular character who's easy to play and be competitive with? I'm interested in going online, if only to deck my characters out in some of the cool armour which is sadly absent in SP. I fought against Bane in the campaign and thought he was fantastic, really fast and aggressive. Might give him a shot.

I honestly wasn't expecting to enjoy this personally, I just bought it for my brother, but it's so far beyond what the first did.

I'm genuinely loving the single player and the story, despite being daft, has somehow managed to get me wrapped up in it.

I beat the living hell out of Armistice as Green Lantern and it felt amazing.

Blue Beetle is a lot of fun to play, too.
