That cover is almost the exact opposite of the cover of Murder Ballads.

Reminds me of Annihilation.

I'm sure this is a worthy album and valuable therapy for Nick, but I can't ever imagine listening to it again. It makes me miss the Bad Seeds of Jangling Jack, John Finn's Wife and Loverman even more. This really should have been billed as a Nick and Warren album, the Bad Seeds are hardly on it at all.

Jack Ladder is doing some great Cave inspired work, have a listen.

I only hear some of the preview and wasn’t too impressed but when I listened to it the next day I really liked it.

It’s the end of the trilogy so hopefully the next album will be different. Whilst I don’t want another Skeleton Tree/Ghosteen and I’d love another Push The Sky Away. Until whatever comes next it looks like new Grinderman is on the way.

Tour dates!  For 2020! All massive stadiums! Yay. Tickets on sale next week!

Saturday 2 May  – Arena Birmingham, Birmingham, UK
Sunday 3 May – Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff, UK
Tuesday 5 May – The SSE Hydro, Glasgow, UK
Wednesday 6 May – Manchester Arena, Manchester, UK
Friday 8 May – 3Arena, Dublin, Ireland
Tuesday 12 May – First Direct Arena, Leeds, UK
Thursday 14 May – The O2, London, UK
Friday 15 May – The O2, London, UK

I hate stadiums for music (especially the stuff on Skelton Tree and Ghosteen) , but I guess Cardiff could be good? No idea really.
