I think that's because it doesn't have any objects with height in them? Or least that what I heard on one of dudleys yesterzine vids I think?

Yeah it's doesn't have to scale objects on the race track. But still cool.

Yes, this is one of the things SMK gets from its expansion chip, it's one of those things you don't un-notice once you know :)

Speaking of expansion chips, I'm trying Street Fighter Zero 2 on my break. Thanks @Duddyroar!

I've also enabled scanlines on my SuperNT for the first time ever. I'm used to having them off on scalers because I could never find settings I liked. These are ones @Alexlotl listed in the MegaSG thread.

Glad they've been useful! I love the scanline look, but used to hate dealing with them on the Framemeister. The hybrid scanlines in the analogue consoles are great, provided you use an integer y scale. I used to play everything 4x with top/bottom borders, but increasingly now I just play 5x and live with the mild cropping.

I'd love to move my Super NT up to my office, but my monitor has awful speakers and I can't see an easy way of wiring it up to my stereo or headphones. I'm guessing you can probably get devices that split SPDIF off HDMI, but I'd be worried about lag.

It's kinda a shame because the Mega SG has a headphone port.  In theory just to ape the MD1 itself but it's actually really cool.

My monitors have speaker outputs, thankfully! Otherwise I wouldn’t bother either.

Yeah, luckily my little telly the SNT is plugged in to has a headphone out, although that's been disconnected so I can plug it in to a Pi and I've been using that as a Bluetooth receiver to bang everything through the amp 😛

Is there a (Super?) Nintendo variant of anything as neat and comprehensive as http://hol.abime.net or https://segaretro.org for Amiga and Sega content? Well curated pages with scans/reviews/overview etc. I love those resources but have only found MobyGames to turn to for Nintendo which seems odd.

https://snescentral.com is one I use regularly
