They might as well rename the service Twin Stick Shooter+

From the name I thought it was a space exploration type game, I watched the trailer & was disappointed.

I'm sure it's a good game but I'm a bit tired of twin stick shooters.

PS+ offerings have been horrendous for a while now.

Not horrendous, as such, but all indie all the time is not good, and I say this as someone who was enthusiastic about Sony's new focus. If I didn't need it for The Division, I wouldn't have renewed PS+ at all.

PS3 owners got P4 Ultimax last month and that's ace.  :quote: But I admit that generally the games haven't always been great.

Pretty much my view. The last month I subscribed was when Rocket League came out.

If online was still free I'd probably have bought Rocket League to carry on playing it after my PS+ expired. Sadly that's not the case anymore. Boooooo Sony.

There's a back catalogue of more than two years to choose from now; I think we can finally aim a bit higher!

Agreed Killzone it is then.

Killzone is suspected to be out on PSVita, so for me there's probably going to be just one game I play. I don't even download half of the options now they are so bad. Considering when I first got PS plus there were some awesome PS3 games, I mean due to it I have mass effect 3 and bioshock games in my download library. Now we get turfed out, not neccassarily rubbish, but games that probably don't cost them a dime. Knowing that we will all keep buying PS Plus anyway because we want to play online. Does my nut in.

I read an article which basically said it would cost Sony way more now to add a AAA game because of the many millions of PS+ users compared to the PS3 era of a couple of million. So I expect we will be stuck with indie games for the majority, I don't mind that because I very rarely buy any & whatever AAA game is given away I would have most likely already played it.

That might be why the bigger PS vita games come out then? Because generally less people would be downloading them, it makes sense. But I guess the counter argument is that Sony, are charging for online game play that was previously free, at the time it was free the games were of a more expensive nature. Surely it would balance itself out to an extent where every so many months they could release a "bigger" game? These games don't necassarily have to be the ones that came out last month, but as people say Knack would be an example, Killzone or Watch dogs too, games that you can pick up in a store for less than a tenner.

I'm the same with regards to games, I'm old school and rent most of them so generally play most games at some point or other but it's the service I guess, it seem's (though it may not be the case) that now Sony have all their subscribers they aren't as bothered about what happens. It's like they have been bought out by Microsoft when no one was watching. In addition to the poorer playstation plus games, there have been the outages, which their sorry was, we will give you "free days for playstation plus" as if we had not already payed for them already and their lack of encouragement for more developers for the PSvita suggests that because it hasn't made enough money for them they are pretty much ready to abandon that already.

Guess I'm just a bit miffed with the company at the moment when they could be so much more ^_^

True they are now receiving way more income than the PS3 generation, from the three you mentioned or any games released int he first year of the PS4. I & probably quite a few others would not bother wasting the bandwidth, storage on the PS4 to download either because they have already played it or it's crap. At least with the indie route you get to experience something new albeit they really need to stop with the twin stick shooters.

It was not selling at some point any company would do the same & cut their losses. I don't expect Sony will release another handheld console ever.

My only slight concern is the rumoured PS4K & that would annoy me because I don't want a two/three year hardware refresh on consoles. If I wanted that I would have stuck with PC gaming. But anyhow that is a discussion for a different thread.

I never understand why people are miffed with PS+

Remember when it was £40 per year for Xbox Live with no additional benefits?

Not every game is a winner but it's still a staggering amount over 12 months, particularly over three formats, for what amounts to the price of a single game.

I guess because I never had Xbox Live gold so never had to pay for my online gaming. I would be interested to know what the money we pay gets spent on when you consider that you don't have to pay to play games online through Steam (though it would not surprise me if it is just around the corner)

So to me my online experience I have never had to buy games and then pay again for the privilege of playing what is 75% of a game these days as there are less and less games that are not primarily online games these days.

I don't understand the criticism of PS+ at all. We got Rocket League, people. Broforce and Galak-Z are both supposed to be very good as well but people don't seem to care.

Having said that, Dead Star doesn't look like it'll do anything for me. Hope the other game is a bit more interesting.

Ooh Zombi. Always wanted to play I Am Alive. It's like some kind of proto Last of Us from what I remember of the demo.

Never heard of those Vita games.
