Well that was another incredible game. Will be interesting to see how we fare against New Zealand, they'll be heavy favourites so hopefully that won't play on our minds.

Yeah, that's how to get out of trouble!

NZ v England, WI v India semifinals. Great stuff, after the crappy qualifying bit this tournament is really good.

I have given up trying to work out what England are doing in relation to being in a good enough position to win a match, but more wickets always nice yes.

16 off the first over.

Morgan hasn't always done the obvious with his bowling changes, but it's worked. NZ went 64-7 off the last 10 overs, they have to be disappointed not to have posted close to 200 after the start they had.

Brutal from Roy. Thought NZ were 30 too short after the last few overs, and not changed my mind so far. NZ need to get Roy very soon or this could be gone already.

Wow. England finally did the batting, fielding and bowling all in the same match. If they can repeat that in the final it's gonna be a great match!

The women's game is a cracker, really enjoyed some of the games in their tournament. Think whoever chases later on is going to win.

The Windies have been pretty comfortable without ever being ahead of the rate. They can't just keep milking the singles here, they need a couple of boundaries. It's going to go to close, despite only taking the one wicket so far, the Aussies have bowled well to stem the tide.

That was agonising. To go from about two overs in and "oh well, we are getting hammered here" to "wait, there's a glimmer of hope!" to "nope" to "wait!" to "we should actually do this!" and then "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh" like that. What a match though.

Batted like chumps, so they didn't really deserve to win, but oh so frustrating in the end. Don't think Stokes is a death bowler, much happier with Willey bowling the last. Great tournament for England though.

Yeah, ultimately they did way better than expected and will have gained loads from the experience even if it was a crushing end. In fairness to Stokes and the decision to use him last, it'd worked well enough through the tournament to date and he wanted it. In future maybe they'll look to someone with a bit more variation to do it.

If you are going to go with Yorkers at the end they need to be wide ones, putting them anywhere near the hitting arc especially against someone the size of Braithewaite is mental. 19 should have been enough to defend. However, playing the entire tournament this early in the year where the toss basically decides the game thanks to the dew is stupid as well, it's such a huge advantage. Should have played the game earlier on so we could have actually bowled Ali. With that in mind, the early bowling from England really was decent, just a shame they couldn't have got that one more wicket they needed to really pressure WI (who must rival Australia for the least likeable time out there in their current guise). Joke decision that Root wasn't player of the tournament as well.

Willey bowled great, Rashid contained and Jordan bowled a good 19th over to give us a platform. The first 2 deliveries from Stokes were atrocious though, both going way down leg. Fabulous hitting from Braithwaite, of course, but 19 from he least over should've been defended much better.

Still, there's a good crop of youngsters and experience in that squad, who knows what 2019 will bring?
