Sooooo, I'm going with (and own)

South Park

The Stanley Parable

Day of the Tentacle

Monkey Island series

Games I will chase down

Ben There, Dan That and Time Gentlemen Please

Tales from the Borderlands

Lego JP

Pretty nice list considering a own a bunch and some of the others are nice and cheap. Thanks all!

Honorable mention to Bishi Bashi as well, I have fun playing that with my 2 boys

One of the Fables I found really, really funny. Had a lot of voice acting from British comedians. Can't for the life of me remember if it was Fable 2 or 3. I distinctly remember one bit when they were going on about Fire Breathing Demonic Chickens Of Doooooom that had me laughing out loud

Batman Arkham Knight. Putting this in spoiler tags just in case, as this is a massive spoiler for the game.

Some great dark humour from The Joker.

"I once had the singing voice of a soprano, well, I had her vocal chords"

"So Harvey, I've been meaning to ask, did everything get split down the middle?"

There are tons of brilliant one-liners. Hamill excels himself in Arkham Knight.

The singing bomb wheel of doom was the best thing ever.

That was Fable 3.

Sensible World of Soccer made me and a mate laugh because we created a 'Naked Babes XI' and put them in an all pink kit. How we chortled at their perceived nude little behinds zooming about the pitch. Unfortunately if anything our humour has regressed since then.

Luigi's Purple Coins also made me laugh, just through the sheer descent into madness after the 400th-odd restart.

The LEGO games' cut scenes can be genuinely funny at times.

Good humour is pretty rare in games, but then I can probably think of more games that do it well than do drama well.

I love Nintendo's localisations - the Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi games are often hilarious.

The Dragon Quest games deserve a mention. My favourite thing about DQ VIII is probably the party chat, as the main characters are so well written. You can tell the localisation team took great liberties with the original script, but the dialogue is marvelous. One of the characters is a cockney-accented thug-turned-good, who talks in ridiculous slang and malapropisms, and bungles any word of more than two syllables ("Alright, mate, enough wiv the pleasant trees, let's get down to business!" etc). Another section has you enter a backwater of a village called Simpleton, where all the residents declare themselves proud Simpletons. The game's full of moments like this.

In fact, the team who localised DQ VIII and the other recent DQ games, Plus Alpha, have worked on loads of genuinely funny games - Okami, some of the Phoenix Wright and Layton games. They're great.
