Brilliant stuff from Wales, definitely the best match of the tournament too. It was basically a re-run of England/Iceland, "big" team goes ahead but then when they fall behind panic and always look like losing, but the teams here were both much better.

Stunning stuff, and they can definitely beat Portugal. Bale has the advantage of knowing Pepe inside out too, which really could make the difference.

My wife thinks I am Nostradamus.

When Big Sam headed off on his run I shouted "Give it to Sam for the header!"  Lovely cross in and Vokes scores the kind of goal I've seen him putting away for years in a Burnley shirt.

Brilliant, brilliant performance.  Thoroughly deserved.

I guess for the first time - all of the UK is going to be firmly behind a British team in the final four of a tournament.

Even English fans not that keen on Wales are going to want them to win over Ronaldo's Portugal.

One of, if not the greatest night in Welsh sporting history, is it even possible, can we do what others dare to dream of.

Fuck yeah we can.

Fi'n caru fy ngwlad
Ti'n agos at ein calon
Ennill neu golli,  fyddwn ni byth yn becso
Achos ni'n falch, nawr ac am byth

Fuck me predictive text is a bitch in Welsh.

Stayed up till 4am to watch wales despite only getting 2 hours sleep the night before. Match kicked off and next thing I know I am waking up look at the screen and its the 80th minute and wales were 3-1 up. Didn't know whether to be happy or disappointed.

So if I have this right, Wales will be without Ben Davies and Ramsey for the semi-final against Portugal. Is there any possibility of Wales challenging those yellows as both were bloody soft!

Both players would be a big loss, Ramsey was playing the best I've seen him play all tournament last night (still a bit loose defensively, but 2 assists says what he did do). I think Davies has has a good tournament too, maybe it's just because he's an ex-Swansea player that I rare him, but I've thought he's the best wide back we've got.

Micky Thomas is currently on BBC breakfast this morning and he said he hasn't been to bed yet.

I think he might still be pissed! Some very glassy eyes.

Wales reach the semi finals but most news outlets are still more concerned with talking about England's failings and their hunt for a new manager. Wish they would give it up and spend a bit more time covering the actual fucking tournament which is still going on.

Gonna be honest. Not sure how I feel about Wales right now. I would have been fully behind them till that video of them celebrating our lose to Iceland came out. Left a little bit of a bitter taste in my mouth. I think it was slightly pathetic to act like that. There isn't a really riverly here at all, so why act like we hate each other and celebrate like that?

Then again, them going out means Portugal to the final which they don't deserve at all. So I much rather see an underdog team who've played well and deserve it. I'll be behind Wales, but that video was still pathetic.

I'm surprised Wales celebrating England losing is any kind of a revelation to anyone, but then I'm Scottish. Most Welshies I know are just as anti-England FC as us. Would you expect them to politely clap while looking disappointed? How would you expect fans of Liverpool to react if Man U got knocked out of the Champions League?

No there's a difference between being happy, laughing and giving a fist pump and a "GET IN" when an underdog wins to jumping around a room, bouncing and hugging everyone like that lose meant they won something or progressed.

I wouldn't jump and run around my front room screaming at the top of my voice and hugging the closest person to me. It probably give a big YES and laugh. Done.

I really don't care if they celebrate England losing, I think it's funny and just ramps us the competition if we meet them again. I still want to see them doing well (although if they win it, it'll be a little depressing - although possibly an even bigger kick for England FA to get their act together).

Same with the "are you watching Engerland" chants, it just made me smile.

Meh it was a short clip so I didn't see it as being a great deal more than what you've described. They had effectively just progressed in a major tournament further than their nearest rival, worth celebrating I'd say and I'd be doing the same if it was Scotland. No danger of that happening any time soon though. :(

Because in all honest why should I feel obligated to get behind a team that celebrates us going out like that? Regardless of how long the clip was they still acted like it was more than an underdog team winning. Just because our countries boarder and we're part of the UK I should support them? If they can't get behind us, why should I care for them? As an underdog story its truly great and its what makes football amazing, but other than that, I don't feel the need to get behind them and for me that video made it worse. I was absolutely gutted England went out in such a fashion, it was truly a pathetic display and now I'm suppost to get behind a team that celebrated us going out like that?

Massive congratulations to Wales, you can't take this away from them because its an amazing story but yeah, just don't feel like getting behind them as much. Rather Iceland did better

I never even suggested you should support them. Just maybe don't feel too sore about them celebrating was all. Anyway we can all get behind Iceland now, at least until the miracle occurs and we get Wales vs Iceland in the final.
