Steam Secret Santa 2015

It's that time of year again, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014.

• To take part please PM me a link to your Steam profile by December 17th, I will send a friend request from this account.

• On December 18th I'll send a PM saying who you're buying for.

• Buy the game as a gift and send it to JPRgift by the end of December 23rd.

• I'll then send the games out late on the 24th.

The Winter sale should start December 22nd this year so it will be a tight turnaround this year. A big change this year is the removal of flash/dailies which does mean all games will be at their best price at the start of the sale. Useful for buying gifts, it also means you won't miss out on anything if you choose to wait until the 25th to buy games.

One big change is to trading, if you don't have a the mobile authenticator linked to your account then sending trades will take up to 3 days to complete, no change to receiving.

A wishlist is useful especially with the tight turnaround this year. No limits on what you can buy, I'll include a Steam profile link so you can see what they own. Whilst there's no restrictions the spirit is more thoughtful, you can send that comedy gift of Bad Rats, but it's not really in the spirit if that's all you send.

Yup, Steam is terrible at letting you organise things in a usable manner - stupid things like anything in your 'Followed' queue won't tell you the price, or the fact you can't bulk move things from queue to queue, or the ranking never seems to save...

It's an awful store front.

No, I've seen no mention of changes to gifting, so you should still be fine to buy games as gifts and then send them to me as usual.

You don't need to, you can pick something not on there you think they'd enjoy. Main thing is something you think they'd enjoy, not just a bunch of joke games.

You don't need to have a wishlist if you want a complete surprise.

This, my recipient last year had all very cheap games on their wish list, so I bought them pretty much everything on there which came to about a third of the budget I allocated so I got some additional games blindly based on what other games were in his library but had no idea if I was buying him games that he already owned on consoles or received as review code.
