FTL Season 13 - Game on!

Mardigan 1-2 Wincho

No injuries

Maridgan dominated the first half but only went in 1-0 up, largely due to the brilliance of Petr Cech in the Arsenal goal

A change of formation at half time from Arsenal however saw a better second half performance that included 2 goals in 3 minutes, the first from Lewandowski before Sanchez gave the gunners the lead

Baz 5 Manic 2

Inj Navas

Fair play to Baz, down to 10 men after 10 minutes for a late tackle on Reus but his skillz were too much and he romped it in the end. Even intentionally missing a pen of his own in the process! 0-0 at HT and I had looked most like breaking the deadlock but he found his rhythm in the 2nd half and murdered me.

Cheers Baz

Yeah cheers for the game manic ... The tackle on Reus was unintentional I tried hooking the ball away ! Somehow I always save penalties lol. I was told to score them pens but i was never scoring that it was the al player that gave it away ! And In the 2nd half i found a bit and won the game !

Cheers Manic

Deadline to get first half games played was last night and the transfer window is supposed to have opened today

What we are going to do is boot Andy and Cary out (sorry guys but you've hardly played any games) and then apply extra injuries to squads who failed to play their 9 matches

Steely 1 extra injury

Wincho 1

BigBaz 3

Timmo 2

Jamin 1

Mackenie 2

I'll sort all of it after work today so consider the transfer window open as per timescales outlined in first post in this thread

For those still with games to play - get them sorted before I go crippling (eg - today) or as soon as possible and do jot play any players that were injured in first half, nor any you buy in this window in your remaining first half season fixtures

My mind is all over the place as I keep geting begged to re-join various Fifa leagues despite saying 'no' countless times.

It's getting embarassing to be honest but I don't know how else to tell the guy he is wasting is time. It's tragic actually - I used to think he was alright but he is just degrading himself now

That's the nicest thing you've ever said about ''that guy''.

I'm sure he'll be most pleased to hear your endorsement.....

Final game played last night but didn't get a chance to report it.

Spurs (MardiganX) 1 - 4 Middlesborough (Steely)

Goals - Lamela

No injuries

Middlesbrough dominated the 1st half but Spurs came into it later on with Lamela pulling one back to make it 2-1 just before half time. Spurs then started the 2nd half well and really should have at least equalised when not 1 but 2 nailed on chances struck the same post within a minute of each other. The Spurs manager was seen laughing his head off and ripping up his tactics sheet just after this, suggesting his expectation of getting anything from the game had just vanished. Middlesbrough remained patient and put the result beyond doubt in the closing stages as Spurs got fed up and left lots of gaps at the back.

Well played Steely. The 2 shots off the post did make me laugh as 90% of the time those chances fly in at the near post. 1 hitting the woodwork is poor but 2 so identical ones so close together is just nonsense. You finished the game strong and exploited my frustration to make it comfortable. All the best for the rest of the season.

Cheers for the game Mardigan!

You did have a result though at the time of leaving those gaps though, I wasnt trying to make it comfortable, I was going for the winner as the final score was 3-4 with the handicap. Though I'm just glad poor Vardy was able to walk after than challenge from Vertongan!

Aye man, I was chasing the win at 3-1 and got sloppy toward the end. I keep forgetting the handicap when I do my reports, haha.

The tackle from Vertonghen was the highlight of the game for me. An absolutely horrendous attack from behind. It looked amazing!
