The official name for them is something else, but plenty of alternatives to refer to them as:

Backstays of the sun—a nautical term, from the fact that backstays that brace the mast of a sailing ship converge in a similar way Buddha rays Cloud breaks Jacob's Ladder Ropes of Maui—originally. taura a Maui—from the Maori tale of Maui Potiki restraining the sun with ropes to make the days longer Shafts of light Sun drawing water—from the ancient Greek belief that sunbeams drew water into the sky (an early description of evaporation) Sunbeams Sunburst Volumetric lighting (used by the computer graphics industry) God rays (used by the computer graphics industry[4]) Fingers of God Jesus Rays Devil's Rays (refers to anticrepuscular rays only) Tyndall rays

I'm up to about 30 mods now. Best one is the one that lowers your gun whilst drawn.

I'm waiting until they make it so it only lowers when you're running, before buying it. Then it'll be perfect!

These games only get better with age really. So before long it'll be around the €30 mark again (or lower) and then I'll dive in!

And you guys need to do your part and pos Davejm's OP some more.

This happily chugs along on Ultra at 1440p30 for me and manages to look miles better than the PS4 version. Decision made, PS4 version getting sold.

That shadow mod looks incredibly useful. Would be nice if it could alter more than one setting, though.

Also, if I'm using RSS to hold this at 30fps, do I always have to have both it and Afterburner open when I'm playing or is just RSS enough?

This one is interesting...

http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1822/?

It dynamically alters the shadow distance. I'm going to try it, because now that I'm at goodneighbour the frame rate crawls with shadow distance on Ultra. But if I lower it to medium, when I'm out in the wild it doesn't look very nice. So this seems like a good thing to try.

just tried this, and it does seem to work, it does imrove areas, however i think some of the slowdowns are being cau

sed by other things, but dead easy to install and use!

I notice Boozy the Clown lived up to his name by negging the first post..

Sigh.

Have added a link to Mentazm's list to the OP, rather than including them all in the original list. For a lot of the visual mods I'll wait for a bit to see what overhaul mods appear.

Negged by accident, sorry! Can someone pos to rebalance?

I'm really after an imaginator style plug in for this. Something that allows you granular access to the shades and tones, without the performance hit of an ENB. For the meantime I've taken to turning the brightness on my TV right now.

i made a couple tweeks using mediator reshade...never used it before, saw some tips on improving sharpness if using TAA to combat the blur!, also set the blackpoint a little bit lower, much nicer, gets rid of the grey washed out look!
