I'm pretty sure you can't, I don't think that powering the glyph can be done without six; two on the plates, two in the centre, two moving between them.

The timing between powering & then getting back before it expires would be too tight, it's probably been designed that way.

Although that does look a bit grim, I hate fingernail stuff after getting one of mine ripped off in one go by an aggressive letterbox while doing a paper round years ago.
