I honestly don't cycle enough to tangibly know the difference between 11 and 15mph. I think the problem is expectations - all the labels in game refer to walking, and I'm guessing it's as high as 11 to account for running. I don't think you're meant to be cycling?

 

Got the Aerodactyl today, it's a wonder, too. I hate these damn Omanyte things, I keep either missing or they escape, have lost a comical number of balls. At least the slime thing is boosting my fire catches, had barely caught any fire types before this event. Decided to leave Haunter as my buddy, getting candy every 750m. We've done 52km now, getting him to his final evolution has been a bit of a chew.

Had a stack of Geodudes, some Ryborn, one or two Onix. Loads of Slugma on the radar which never seem to actually appear. Wandered out this morning and got a Larvitar but there were very few Pokemon at all, let alone good ones.

 

The increased candy has been great, though. I now have Ivysaur, and Porygon II and I am well on my way to Charizard.

 

The Larvitar also allowed my to power up to my first Pokemon over 3000CP.

 

Last two 10km eggs have been Mantine :(:(

Been enjoying the event a lot. Been out cycling (very slowly) and done around 10km taking my Mareep buddy to 103 candy. Getting g closer.

 

Given me a chance to get the last Gen 1 with a Gen 2 evo candy. Only ever seen one Onix before this event and now got my Steelix.

 

Added a few Aerodactyls to the stable. I'd had one hatched before and now got two more so he's less lonely.

 

No Larvitars unfortunately.

But the setup images tell you you can cycle. There are pictures of people using it cycling in the app!

What a wonderful day for a Pokewalk. Evolved Slugma, now inches from Charizard, got a 10km egg from The Stop That Likes To Spit Out Dratini Eggs(TM), upped my vitamin D levels...glorious.

 

Also, Shuckle is my new favourite. Really made me smile. Caught one on the way back and it was pretty much perfect, but...49CP!? Do they turn into anything?

Don't think so in Gold/Silver...no idea if they added in one in future games.

 

Pokemon Go has really made me get out the house a bit more. Spent about 4 hours on Friday just wandering round Cardiff Bay and similar around Gloucester on Sunday.

 

Just found a Pikachu at work :D (Crap though) and another "caught my attention Onix"

My yellow team nemesis and his cronies are pissing me off. As are the local red team guys. They were all happy enough to join my gym and help get it to level 10, but now none are out fighting the scourge that is team yellow. It's like I'm the only one that cares. 

 

Took down the level 5 yellow gym earlier and left this little dude as a "fuck you" to everyone

Blissey. Finally. Now I can get my own back!

 

Looking at my Pokedex last night I've realised I have surprisingly few gaps. Yet to evolve Machamp, no Farfetch'd, Tauros or Kangaskhan (despite going to the USA! Grrrrr), yet to evolve Meganium and Typhlosion, no Croconaw, Feraligatr, Flaafy or Ampharos, not far off Togetic, no Jumpluff, and 13 more missing in the 200s - I assume some of those are not available yet?

 

Given the relentless Pidgeyness of everything around here I'm amazed!

The gym I've posted about before that's been blue level 10 for months and months and months has been overturned by a couple of my red compadres. There's two gyms - the shutdown pub is still blue but the library is now red. Was level three with three lads in so I parked up and got it upto level four and left Snorlax there to catch up on some reading. ^_^

Blues must be slacking, one of my local gyms that has been level 10 blue for weeks was also level 3 Red today. I bumped it up to 4 and left a Gyarados. Probably be gone before the morning. 

 

Got my 6th (SIXTH!!) metal coat today too. <_<

How the hell are you supposed to take down a Blissey? I simply run out of time, even though every attack is super effective. Tried one the other day, I was a CP2800-ish Rhydon, it was a CP2100 Blissey, and when the time ran out they still had a third of their HP left!

Aye, was a Blissey in the gym I was levelling up today, that thing is a tank, nothing I tried made much of a dent it its health. I guess fighting moves would be strongest against it as a Normal type.

Really need another Sunstone and Kings Rock yet constantly get Metal Coats. And just to annoy me even more i'm 20 candy away from Steelix and didn't find a single Onix during the most recent event.
