I'm the exact opposite. 2 gyms in the park 10 minutes away, always red, always the same players. The only time it changes, which is rare, is if there's an event in the park. 

 

Thankfully, I lucked out at work and there are more blue players than any other, so our cafeteria is usually blue. An incubator every couple of weeks or so, then.

Encountered two Onix - both escaped.

 

Also saw one in a locked cemetry when walking nearby and a Larvitar. Shame I couldn't grab those two. Encouraging to at least run in to them after the Chansey no show last time. One of the nest changes a few miles away is Onix as long as someone isn't messing about on the Silph Road atlas. How many do you need for Steelix? 50 or 100 candy?

 

Plenty of Slugma which nearly gave me enough to evolve in just the one walk. Saw lots of fossil type ones as well.

Caught a Kabuto from my bedroom, also just noticed my nemesis has taken the gym again. Already in bed but was so tempted to head over there to take it back. Will pop over before work in the morning if he's still there.

I'd have been ninja Frogger if that were the case.  Aerodactyl completes my UK set (I think anyway!).

 

Caught Shuckle today, despite walking within sightings distance of a nest when gen 2 launched, I  never bothered to get one assuming they'd be really common since my sightings had 3 or 4 every time I parked the car!

Got a bit excited when I saw something else new.  It was a Kabuto, I guess the avatar has changed since I last caught one, or I've just plain forgotten what they look like!

Caught three Pineappled up Geodudes from my desk, so making nice progress towards evolving my Graveller to its third stage. Only an 800m walk from evolving my Omanyte too, then have to decide what to walk next!

Caught an aerodactyl and a granbull as brand new Pokémon today and already have enough candies to get my graveller, ryhorn, slugma, omanyte and kabuto into their next forms. Only 6 candy off evolving an onix too. This is working out great! :D

 

Although on the downside I've had two other brand new Pokémon appear on screen and disappear in an "error" when I tapped on them to try to catch them :/

I saw and caught my one and only Wobbuffet a couple of weeks ago. I almost didn't bother because I thought I had loads, but was obviously getting mixed up with the Pokemon 3DS game I'm playing too! Close call!

Wandering around Cardiff Bay and city over 2 days netted me lots.

 

Onix + Evolve mars (didn't get wonderous :()

 

Ebough mars to evolve Geodude and 2 Wonder Rydons

 

Om/Kabut and mats to Evolve

 

Enough Squirtle Candies to get to Blastoise (but not level up)

 

Didn't see an Aerodactyl but got a few new mon. Also got 2 lavatires (from pokestops). Rare though can't see me evolving.

 

Pretty decide haul :)

 

Slugmas seem to be everywhere and harder to catch and need 50 candy, not a great xp machine :(

For tracking eggs/buddy candy I think it's now 11mph. Can get Pokestops at around 18mph though so not sure what the thinking is there.
