One of my local nests is now girafarig which is a bit rubbish. Will be nice to get a decent one but beyond that, not much use for them.

Better than my local Jynx nest.

Better than my local Jynx nest.

Jynx is pretty good for fighting dragonites though.

One of the other local nests is quilfish. Again, interesting enough but not much appeal beyond the a high IV/CP one.

Got one more nest to check and a few more areas to check if they have become nests yet or not.

I've had a strange series of events. Firstly, go+ caught a level 30 89% IV swinub, probably the highest IV level 30 catch I've had. Then continued looking through my history and found a level 30 venonat, again, high IV. Next Pokémon caught by go+ was a 93% IV level 25 magicarp, which will be my highest CP gyarados by 10cp. To top it off, when I got home I noticed the event had started so walked the 20 yards to a spawn and found a Muk. Seriously, a wild Muk, it took me months of walking and hatches to get my first Muk and then one spawns outside my house just after a grass event starts.

Going to Shrewsbury this weekend for a Pokemon birthday hunt. If it's anything like the Halloween event I will come back with hundreds of candies for two or three...but which two or three?

Pray for Bulbasaur...

(If by chance anybody is in the area tomorrow (6th) feel free to drop me a line on Steam)

Go+ catches stuff for you?

It gives you a single standard pokeball's chance of catching Pokémon you're passing - either it gets caught with that or it flees. It collects from pokestops and records walking distance whilst your phone is locked as well. I've found it pretty useful when the weather is bad, or just being able to watch where I'm going a bit more.

Grass event starting today (or already started). Should make things a little more interesting this weekend at least. Hopefully get enough candy for sunflora.

Just got a couple of Sunkerns at my local stop :) Can't see any other noticeable differences yet.

Got a fair few Hopips and Sunkins - enough to evolve when next doing a burst of evolves with a egg,

Pokestop tracking got me a Bulbasaur and Chikorita. Never going to get candies to upgrade though. ;)

walking got got me a steel bird thing and pushed me enough candy to level up buddy squirrel

Stopped for Eggs Benedict and a Latte now

I'm currently 50 candy off Chikorita's final form - been buddied with her for a while now - so hopefully can nab enough needed during this event. Already have enough Sunkin candy but could do with a better appraised one to evolve (when I get the sun stone needed to do that) and need quite a lot more Hopip candy before being able to get his last form.

Used about 5 Ultra balls and 7 great balls catching a wild Dragonair  (1100cp) yesterday; "may not be great in battle" :hmm:

Interesting! This is the official Go Plus thing, right?

Last night I found myself standing in a pile of eggs. SIX Exeggcute outside - madness. At the end of my road today, three Sunkerns - so a new Pokemon straight out of the gate.

Get to Shrewsbury expecting grass Pokemon carnage. Nope. We lured everything in sight around Bear Steps (which lasted all day, yippee!) but it was mostly all crap like Sentret. We found we were getting maybe one grass one every 15 minutes and one Bulbasaur every 30-40 minutes? We got annoyed and moved on but not before I'd got a crappy Ivysaur which showed up at the last minute.

It seemed there were far more water Pokemon so we aimed for that instead. I got the Totodile I didn't get in the water festival. A few fair Magikarp (more with incense), Shrewsbury staple Psyducks, then Horsea, Marrill, and weirdly Magnetons everywhere. There were some Oddish, Bellsprout and Exeggcute.

Then, in the same place as we found one last time, DRATINI. I lose my shit whenever I get one or see one so I was seriously excited. The tracker told me it had fled but my friend then got it, which was really annoying. I restarted and it appeared, but everything went odd and it came up with 'Error' message while the graphics went funky. I accepted I'd lost it (when I say 'accepted' I mean 'moaned like a overentitled 4-year-old') and we moved on.

About two hours later...DRATINI. But this one on the other side of the river!! Thankfully it appeared when we got to the river bank. It turned out to be trash so I binned it, and then looked in my inventory to find I had another one. So it must have given me the previous one, which was weird. Anyway, that was crap as well so off to the grinder it went as progress towards evolving the last good one I hatched.

We did a lot of hanging around in Quarry Park but no more luck.

We think that there is a pattern there with Dratini because everyone in Shrewsbury has Dragonite. Gyms are filled with them. We think one Dratini in the area every two hours, and probably an increased likelihood of getting them from 10km eggs obtained there, as that's what seems to happen near to where I live as well (get a 10km egg from the stop near to a  spawn point that has been known to come up with a Dratini and it's more likely to be Dratini than anything).

I managed to get enough Karp candies to evolve one and it had SODDING CRUNCH.

We also followed a pattern of stops around to try to get the 10th stop bonus as much as possible, and while we got several it was never more than six items, which was a bit disappointing. I was lucky enough to get an 'upgrade' special item but I have nothing to use it on.

Lots of stardust, lots of candies, some really good Pokemon to evolve, plenty of exercise and too many Burger King chilli cheese bites. I want to go back tomorrow!!

Walked downtown again, another absurd session. Was frequently in range of two stops. Caught my first Bulbasaur which was ace. Then while my wife an I are both walking and staring at our phones, we both stopped dead and exclaimed what is that?!

Jinx! She's pants, but was 1,100 cp, which is the highest I've ever caught.

Such a nice night, loads of people lit up lures.

Not seen any Chicorita since the grass event started - was previously finding at least one a day. Seems to have been replaced with Bulbasaurs. Also caught a good Wartortle. Hatched a 10k egg - another Dratini. Bit disappointed with that. Have another 10k incubating at the moment so hoping for something I don't have already  (Miltank) or a beastly Snorlax.

Sunflora (evolved Sunkern) looks so boss. :D

Just eveloved mine, after catching five Sunkerns on pretty much day one of the new mon (whilst I was on holiday) and then not seeing any more until yesterday, when they started showing up regularly at work.

Tap it, does a cute dance :)

Yeah, I'm still swimming in sunkerns and eggsecutes this morning. Which is fine, because I haven't quite finished chikorita and I'm really hoping for some more bulbasaurs.

Hoping that's all spelled correctly, it's a sea of red underlines.

edit - oh wait, that doesn't look like the one that dances. Could have sworn my wife evolved something with a stone or other special part and it made a wee dancing thing.

Me and the neice were going to go to the zoo on sunday but she was talking about wanting an Onix / Steelix on the bus so I was all like 'ahaha! lets go to the Botanic Gardens, it was a big dirty Onix nest last week'. Unfortunately when we got there it was full of nothing but shitmons and I looked like a prick. Fuck-you-mons.

As well as my Sunflora I also got to evolve a Pineco today (wasn't expecting anything  like what it turned into!), caught a Wobbuffet which I didn't even realise I needed - think I got this mixed up with Pokemon Y which I was playing regularly until six months ago, so that must be where the "I see loads of these all the time" got into my head - and also caught a Vileplume. Excellent timing, cos I'm on 97 Oddish candies and was just about to have to decide which way to go with my Gloom evolution!
