What kind of wall charger do I need to plug a USB-C cable into to charge as fast as the official adapter? To play undocked in bed

I don't think anything else charges as fast as the official charger. Which is official. And charges.

Anything which outputs 45w like the official one does. When you look you’ll see that the official one at around £25 is pretty competitively priced.

Cheers, official one is £20 on Amazon so ordered. Was gonna chance it with a high wattage wall charger but no point then

Off topic - but may as well go into this here Nintendo mega-thread.

We all know that Nintendo have absolutely battered it oot the park so far with the switch, but I'm telling you where else they're just off the scale - soundtracks.  The soundtracks and music in all their first party releases are absolutely superb.  From ARMS, Zelda, Mario, Splatoon 2, Xenoblade, Mario Kart 8 - every single one of these has brilliant in game music

Not mad on the Zelda music.

there's not a lot of it - but when there is, I think it's brilliant.  In particular the music in Hyrule Castle and everything that happens as soon as you go to off Ganon.

and hefty goosebumps when this bit happens.

I've got to go on a course with work in a couple of weeks and they said to me today "Do you want us to book you a hire car or do you want to get the train the night before and stay in a Travel lodge".

Honestly my split second thought was, I can play on the Switch on the train AND then have a night playing the Switch without the Mrs and Kids in a Travel Lodge ! Awesome !

I'm doing the same in a couple of weeks! Well, next week. And it's not a course. But otherwise!

I think Zelda has one of the best soundtracks in years, and best use of audio overall. When you're out exploring it's minimal, yet when you're in a village or town it feels very traditional in that they have their own themes. It's also lovely how they gradually fade out as you start to wander off.

It’s wonderful through a posh pair of headphones.

Another Gungeon brother here. I think I got to the third level the other day. Almost immedietly died.

The HD rumble is really good!

It's just a brilliant game. Similar to Isaac in many ways but that's certainly not a bad thing and the gunplay feels unique. £10.99 is a steal for a game of this quality.

I'm as far as level 2 but keep dying on level 1 now all the time.

@YiggyThe 8-bitdo only works via bluetooth and the stick is very loose apparently, I'd discount that.

I remember lots of people bigging up the hayabusa stick and kori buttons that are used in the hori when they came out.
I haven't used them myself (they seem more geared to fighting games than shmups, the stick has a soft spring and a long throw (how far you can push it before you can't push it further) but it does have a short engage (how far you have to push before a direction is registered).

The HRAP's are always easy to mod so you could always stick an ls-32 in there in the future if you didn't get on with the stick.

I'd definitely pay the extra and go for the hori. It's wired and the parts will be much better quality.

personally, I'd only buy the 8-bit do if I was going to replace the stick and buttons, and even then, I wouldn't be happy about it being wireless.

What is garau? Did you get autocorrected?

Yeah I mean Garou Mark of the Wolves. I basically want it to play all the Neo Geo games + Super Street Fighter 2 plus any other stumps that come out for it.

You mention that its better for fighters that shumps but stumps will still be decent with it right? Side scrolling beat em ups too. I want to use it for my PC as well.

The 8bitdo stick can be used wired when plugged in via USB.

The stick and buttons are adequate (they feel noticibly cheaper than my PS4 TE2+ stick) but the wireless play is the main reason I bought it; so I can use it on the go with the Switch in tabletop mode.

For home I just use my existing PS4 stick and a Brook converter since that's a cheaper option than buying the HORI.

Oh right, sorry, I didn't realise you could do that.

Well, that changes things because they're easy to mod too.

It can however, from my understand a set of say, Sanwa buttons and stick will set you back about £40?

Which combined with the cost of the stick puts it at only a tiny bit less than the HRAP? Or maybe the wireless feature makes it more worthwhile in that case.

Thanks for the replies chaps.

Finally set mine up today in readiness for first borns birthday later this week. Gutted that rocket league sale finished end of the year.

It's there a way to set parental restrictions on play times for individual kids or is it one set of times applicable for all?

I played the demo. I was expecting Minecraft but christ - it's literally Minecraft, isn't it?

Not really*. :P

For better or worse DQB is a lot more rigid and linear than Minecraft. They might look the same but in terms of mechanics I'd say they're very much different.

*Based on my time with the PS4 version.
