Thanks. I'm a big fan of some point and clicks, like Grim Fandango, but I played Day of the Tentacle for the first time recently and couldn't get on with it because of the overload that you mention, plus the twisted logic. Do the puzzles in TP make sense, or are they purposefully wacky?

The solutions are mostly fine but it's closer to DotT than Grim Fandango with multiple characters and locations to handle. If you didn't get on with DotT I wouldn't bother as that's the better game and only the HintTron is an improvement on any of the mechanics from the older games.

Steamworld Heist or Steamworld Dig 2?

I've never played either before, and am kicking myself for not getting SW Dig 2 whilst it was on sale, but I see it's had lots of praise in this thread.

I'm also tempted by Heist as I'm generally a big fan of turn based strategy games.

I'll probably get both eventually, but which should I get tonight?  Help me decide! :)

Steamworld Dig 1 (seriously, it's great! :))

EDIT: Oh we're in the Switch chatroom. Get it on Steam! :P

But better to start from the first one and work yer way up no? It's a terrific little game which you can finish in two or three sittings and serves as a nice appetiser for things to come.

It's certainly worth playing I just think number 2 improves on every aspect of it so I'd personally recommend that one.

Anyone bought Never Stop Sneaking yet?

I have been having a lot of fun with The Mummy Remastered over the last couple of nights. I imagine that it will be on sale again in the not too distant future, and it plays like a solid Castlevania game with lovely sprite animations and a tough, albeit (so far) fair difficulty level.

I don't have a PC so can't get it on Steam.

Ended up buying the Beats Sport game instead as it was on sale and looked like it could be fun to play with the kids :)

Are there any shmups on the Switch, preferably vertical scrollers? I've realised I need something I can just pick up and play in short bursts, and the idea of blasting some alien hordes with satisfyingly firepower seems very appealing at present.

Anyone used a bluetooth transmitter like this on the Switch?  How well does it work - is pairing reliable?

I use a dirt-cheap one like this with my BT headphones and it works fine. A friend of mine uses one with an L-shaped jack and his Air Pods and has placed a small bit of velcro on the back of his Switch to attach it, which is tidier and better than letting it flap about or hiding it in place with your fingers.

Yeah, that's kind of the thing I'm after. I remember playing a similar WW2 themed shmup on the Atari ST years back -1941 or something like that.

Bit of a PSA from me, but I ordered one of these and it came today.  Works an absolute charm.  Perfect for use next to my PC in the office. It crashed my Switch when I first connected it, but it seems to be fine now.  It even runs fine on my 2.4A phone charger.. :o  Works with the Elgato, too.

Will give it a proper test later tonight and report back if there are any issues.

I have an Apple one of those and never thought to try it, will do so later.

excuse the ignorance but when using this does the dock act like it’s docked or still run like in handheld mode?

Runs docked.  It crashed again when I connected it earlier, I think the trick is to connect it while in sleep mode.

I'm not sure the apple one will definitely work, I think this model has some kind of special sauce inside to make it work for switch as well as all the rest..

What powerbank does everyone recommend? There's a Ravpower 26800 on Amazon for £36. But is USB 2.0 by the looks of it. Do I need USB 3.0? What charging cable do I need to buy also?

Helllllp meeeee! Ta.
