I know it's bad form to actively wish for remasters, but I'd really like captain toad on the switch. Like many (all?) games, it'd be perfect for those quick pick up and play blasts.

I don't. I understand why someone who didn't own a Wii U would want some of the Wii U games remastered, however, would it be much of a remaster or even a remaster at all. Remasters for me imply improved visuals and/or sound and there's not that much difference between the Wii U and the Switch. I was a bit disappointed that Captain Toad levels weren't in Mario Odyssey (or they might be as I've not finished it yet).

I read rumours that Wolfenstein was up for a port. If it can handle Doom, it can probably handle this.

I just assumed he meant 'port'. A remaster would be a bit pointless, as you say.

Mine does it a lot. If you held down the home button did the sleep options appear but not work?

Reboot fixes it every time in my case. Does mean I always have to save before I leave it in sleep mode mind.

I remembered a bunch of discussion about it earlier, but yeah, they appear. I think it *might* be related to my messing around with HDMI cables. I really need to get an HDMI switcher bought.

Has anyone played Romancing Saga 2? Trying to decide between that and I’m a Satsuma for some Christmas JRPG fun.

I picked it up and spent an hour on it yesterday, it's alright ^_^ Out of the 2 it depends on what you prefer, proper old school JRPG would be saga, but if you like sort of PS1 Final Fantasys I would say I am Setsuna. They are both decent games so far as I can tell. That said Xenoblade Chronicles is my go to JRPG at the moment. I'm sure I will get round to completing the other 2 at some point :)

oh no, I am making that mistake !

Tiny Metal is the Sony one I was thinking of, though that was due out this week too actually but isn't on their list.

There's also Wargroove coming out early next year which looks very much like Advance Wars.

I've avoided Gungeon for so long on PC because I think I'm too shit at this sort of game to enjoy it. But I got it on Switch and it's a lot of fun! Played only in handheld mode so far and it's a bit hard to combine right-stick aiming and R to shoot, but I have a Pro Controller sitting on my desk now that I suspect will help a lot. I didn't have a lot of time to get used to it, just played up to finding the level 1 boss and then since I was low on health went searching for a medkit and got killed by something little instead.

I might look at customising the controls (there's all the options you could want on that) for handheld as I'd like to play this on the commute, it seems well-suited.

One issue I’ve had a couple of times in the last week is that, while in handheld mode, the Switch all of a sudden doesn’t recognise the right joycon as being attached. It still works though if you play free hand. Have to go into the settings and disconnect all controllers and then it’s fine.

Anyone else had this?

If you download Pinball FX (think that was the one) on the eshop - it's free and also there are some free tables available for a limited time.

Pretty much a free game and i've liked what i have played so far.

Its good isn't it. And being able to playTATE/portrait is a winner

Thanks for that, took me all of 5 minutes to set up the Russian account.

I have a main UK account and a secondary one which I use for region switching. Avoids having an account for each country and means I won't nuke any UK eShop credit by accident.

Absolutely loving it so far. I ended up downloading the Walking Dead table which is pretty cool. Got 45,000,000 on it last night.

I seem to have lost my Pro Controller charging cable while moving house. What kind of a cable do I need to fet as a replacement?

It's a USB C. I sometimes charge mine with a lead from my phone which was £2 or so on ebay

Is "The Sorcery" the only free table in Pinball FX? Haven't noticed any others. I do fancy that Back to the Future table.

Yes. The tables are a bit over busy compared to the other pinball game but the other one doesn’t have TATE mode

I've got two accounts on the Switch setup. One 'mine' I can purchase from the web store without issue, but on Lucas' it always says sign in (have tried signing out and back in, also on different browsers), instead of purchase, why would that be? Was going to use one as the main GB account and the other for region swapping.

See two images...

Any clues as to why this would be? Both were setup the same way.

Is it because they are both UK accounts, so only one can be signed in at a time?

Don't you need his account to be set to the other region you want to shop from?

Same thing when I changed region.

Edit: This could be why...

To be able to purchase download games on the official Nintendo website, you'll need to have a Nintendo Account, and you'll need to have visited Nintendo eShop on the device you wish to download on at least once

I am an idiot. As I did visit through one account, but not the other.

There’s an option in controls to switch R and L to the left and right triggers. Seems to work a lot better :)
