With the option of portrait pinball is perfect for switch, have been doing fine with the touchscreen instead of joycons and enjoying the novelty of how cute the console is by itself.

It is slightly harder to play however due to the framerate, but I've not spent a penny yet so hard to complain.

Pinball FX is great fun, might buy a few of the other tables.

I'm actually quite surprised that there are literally only 3 other people who have it on my friend list leaderboards. I would have thought everyone from here played Pinball?

3 tables included, people. There is literally no reason to not download it!

And yet the 3DS only last 4 days in sleep mode before running out of gas. It’s like they didn’t actually think people would want to use that feature.

Almost seven years old, though. That's a long time in magical electrical stuff.

My dock is out in the open mate, sat in front of the TV. Never noticed the Switch getting too warm when docked. The protrusion is barely noticeable (much less than 1mm) so hopefully won't become an issue.

You need to change your avatar. I can't cope with the switch and Virtua striker being linked and getting my hopes up. I want it to happen. I need it to happen. It's never going to happen :(

I couldn't tell you its any good other than reviews and impressions I've read. Bought the damn thing on PS4 ages ago and have never had time to play it. Looking forward to actually giving it some time on Switch and hoping that this opens the door to other CRPGs in future. Long-form portable gaming suits me just fine, thanks.

Forgot I ordered one of these, turned up today.

Good: feels like a SNES pad. Looks like one. Sticks feel great.

Bad: feels a bit cheap, I guess like a snes pad. No idea why they didn’t match the home button to the dark grey.

Ugly: The rumble is loud. Very loud. Like third party n64 era rumble pack loud.

Do not reccomend.

This looks diasastrous.

The positioning of literally every button and detail is giving me a fucking aneurysm.

It looks like what would happen if The Fly was about Jeff Goldblum trapping a SNES pad in his teleportation device and putting Sloth from The Goonies in the other side.

It literally isn’t, though, is it.

The buttons are larger/easier to hit and there’s an actual decent d pad. I guess the sticks positioning would cause you issues if you had sausage rolls for fingers.

Mine arrived yesterday as I used Amazon freebie snail mail.

I like it.  As has been said, it's not the prettiest, but we already knew this.  I think it looks better than the NES30 Pro personally, but each to their own.

I played 3 hours or so of Xenoblade with it, which perhaps isn't the best game to play with it since movement isn't really required to be mega accurate etc. but I can report that it's comfy, and the button positions are perfectly natural and sensibly located.  It feels... well, like a SNES pad texture wise, which I like.  The sticks feel good, and although they are longer than I feel used to (having used joycons so much) I had no issues with it.  The 4 trigger buttons are perfect, in the right location, and nice to use. The weight is good.  Not too heavy so it still feels a bit retro, but not like the old ps3 SixAxis which felt like it was made of paper and would float away.  The face buttons are the right size, and feel great - basically because they are SNES buttons...  The D-Pad feels decent but Xenoblade doesn't exactly use it as a Dpad - it's effectively 4 buttons, so no rolls etc on it yet (and I don't really play fighters...)

The rumble is the let down as has been mentioned.  I wouldn't say it's overly noisy though, if you keep the pad in your hands - it does make the pad feel a bit hollow though.

If you let the pad go, even with 1 hand and it's rumbling, it sounds loud and a bit like I remember ps2 controllers being, not as bad as the old N64 3rd party rumble packs that didn't quite fit and caused extra noise as the 2 components rattled off one another.  Held in both hands, it no louder than the joycons on Pinball FX.

I've never used a Switch Pro pad, so I can't compare to that, but as a fully functioning Switch controller for £35 (might be £40, but I used an Amazon voucher for mine) that is also compatible with other stuff, like the SNES classic (with a wireless receiver), PC, etc. I'm pretty pleased with it.

Will have to play some Mario and Mario Kart with it to see how that goes, and Zelda.

My hope was for a flexible Pro Pad alternative at a fraction of the price and so far I think I've got it.

I think most of the alternatives lack a feature or 2, be it motion, or rumble, or in some cases the ability to use in handheld move (Hori wired pads).

I briefly had to go back to the joycons+grip last night as my Pro Controller ran out of charge (I know right?)... Ugh, BotW is SO much easier to play with a Pro pad that going back to them was all claw like and weird and made combat a lot harder.

Rocket League is getting ‘performance improvements’ on Switch today.

I haven’t experienced anything wrong with the performance, truth be told, but what bad has ever come from fixing something that wasn’t broken?

Oh cool. Yeah I haven’t had any problems with it at all. It has pretty much monopolised my gaming time since it was released.  Love it.

Switch Rocket League is my third version of it and by far my favourite (all play great, just I hate my xbox and PS4 nowadays) - other than a res bump the thing already runs at 60fps but good to see the Switch version get frequent care like the others do.
