simms
It's £34.99 on Steam so providing there are no major differences there is no Switch tax
Benny
So the main reason not to buy it is not because it's overpriced but because it's not Mario Odyssey.

No buttons. Just the left stick and it looks like to be really good at it you play really really fast. It also has a boss called Vice President Helicopter. Helps me pre-thin out the potential pile of shame. Three demos, all for Games I was interested in... Nine Parchments: Very disappointed. Really dull and repetitive gameplay. And despite the dev’s heritage, I thought the graphics were mediocre. Perhaps just too zoomed out. Maybe better in MP, but promises a dull singleplayer experience, so ahm oot. Lost Sphear: Fuck me, they don’t help themselves some devs, do they. A terrible chunk of opaque bollocks with no intro, convoluted systems and very poor graphically and mechanically. Probably £40 saved. Cheers. Octopath Traveller: That’s how you fucking do it. What a lovely generous demo. Great stories, well written tropes, very entertaining. Simple but strategically interesting mechanics that are quick to fathom but hopefully offer some depth. Stunning visually too and with great sound. In fact, apart from the name, the only bum notes were the sheer number of random encounters that you can just immediately flee without penalty every time, and no way to skip back to the boss fights on failing one, entailing a load of A-button spamming through reams of dialogue and dramatic pauses. Both easily sortable moans. I cannot fucking wait to continue Primrose’s and Olberic’s stories, not to mention the other six! That’s my money in the bank for those devs. So, with the eShop filling up rapidly, let’s have more demos please Nintendo. What demos have sold you on Switch games or killed them for you? That's a shame re. Lost Sphear. I've been looking forward to it, even if it does have a stupid name. Bear in mind that some demos can be deceptive, however, and sometimes the real thing is much better. Monster Hunter springs to mind, for example. Hello Goaty ♥
I probably should have held back until xmas day, but I finally used my download code i'd been sat on and god Mario Odyssey. womble9
Posted this in the bargains section earlier and sorry to say that (because I was dashing for a pint too tbh!) The positioning of literally every button and detail is giving me a fucking aneurysm. Pavey
I have the one without the sticks, you would love that David. It’s a masterpiece of timeless design.
Strafe
It literally isn’t, though, is it. The buttons are larger/easier to hit and there’s an actual decent d pad. I guess the sticks positioning would cause you issues if you had sausage rolls for fingers.
MidWalian
I bought "Vostok Inc." earlier today and already sank several hours into it. Quite nice so far. Oh, I got my Yooka Laylee code tonight and played it a little bit, runs ok. Shame it came out after Mario.

Hi, I know a few people here like to swap accounts away from UK to pick up stuff in Japan that isn’t out in UK yet, or to the cheaper stores to benefit from pricing discrepancies, I suspect though most people are UK based and having other listings for other countries wouldn’t get you much traffic from here (but I may be wrong)
Zio
Anyone got The Sexy Brutale yet? It looks pretty decent from what I've seen, but my Pile Of Shame is getting chronic and I'm not sure if adding to it is completely wise. I've not even booted up Rocket League yet. robdood
I really recommend Steamworld Heist to anyone that hasn't played it. Heck, I'm even tempted to pick it up again. It's basically a 2D XCom with manually aimed shooting and ricochet skills! You get a team of bots that level up RPG style and unlock skills etc. It also has randomised levels and loot and stuff. Quite compelling and their art style is charming as anything.

cassidy
Picking up a pro controller tonight as the joycon connection issues are getting worse for me and it's annoying when playing Xb2 docked. Popular Post Benny
I haven't had to charge mine yet and it's been used non stop for days. Girth Certificate
it's weird the wavebird lasted for actual years on 2 double A batteries. Other than not putting a stupid light on the top what are Ninty doing that Sony aren't?

The old GB Pocket ran for 10hrs from a couple of triple-As, which was basically black magic even then. That or they're using Phazon.

And yet the 3DS only last 4 days in sleep mode before running out of gas. It’s like they didn’t actually think people would want to use that feature.
