Is Rocket League coming out tonight or tomorrow night?  I think I read it was midnight, but not sure if that meant I'll be able to download it at 00:01 on Tues morning or 00:01 on Wed morning - do we know?

Supposedly midnight everywhere but neither Oz nor the Japan have it available yet, and we're several hours past midnight now. I suspect it ain't happening for them.

Can anyone shed any light for me regarding Snipperclips DLC?

 

There doesn’t seem to be an option to buy the dlc on its own. The Eshop seems to only want to let me buy a bundle for 27 quid and if I use the link within the game it takes me to the original game page where I can’t do anything except download a demo. 

 

HTF do I get the dlc?

There are two Snipperclips entries on the eShop (one for Snipperclips, the other for Snipperclips Plus); both have DLC listed within the entry if you scroll down and can be purchased on its own. Its £8.99 on the UK store. I'd take a screenshot, but the Switch does let you do it in the eShop.

Whoop, just ordered a Neon Switch, the Green/Pink Neon Joycons, and a Hori hard case. Will take a bunch of old crud to CEX this weekend and pick up some used games (Mario Kart and Zelda top the list, but Arms looks fun). 

 

4p Mario Kart / Bomberman WILL happen this Christmas (although in the case of Bomberman, only if I find it cheap). 

 

Currently agonising over whether to just buy Xenoblade 2, or let my wife give it to me for Christmas. She could always give me Mario Odyssey…

Is the TV you’re comparing it to calibrated properly or are the colours more saturated than they should be? Mine looks slightly more washed out compared to a fairly well calibrated display, but not enough to be distracting.

I thought I’d play a bit of Doom before bed, which paused my Rocket League download. 

 

It’s now refusing to continue to download RL - just says that it’s paused. I’ve restarted the console and cancel/restarted the download a few times with no luck.

 

Anyone else had this, or any ideas how to fix?

 

Edit: had to reformat the micro sd. Weird.

Firstly turn down motion blur and switch of Chromatic shite. There is a gamma option in the game as well but you probably already know that.

Also seem like Rocket league is a competent port maintaining 60 fps in both handheld and docked. Resolution is a little low (720p docked, 576p ish while handheld). If the engine had been on unreal4 as opposed to unreal3 then they probably could have done better. 

Still it's all there and has cross play with pc and xbox.

Anyone who's keen on picking up physical editons; Ittle Dew 2+ is getting it's physical release in the US today (complete with manual and other bits). The End Is Nigh is getting the same treatment on December 12th.

Yes and no - it'll download in the background while the console is in sleep mode, or if the current game being played does not use/require any kind of connection itself. If you're playing online though, it'll stop background downloads.

 

Don't think Snipperclips has any online stuff, so yes it'll download in the background while you play that I suspect.

Although having played it a lot on the PS4 - I'm playing it on a harder difficulty on switch *and* going out of my way to find secrets.  On the PS4 I just battered through as fast as I could to see the end (which I never got to!)... this time I'm trying to find all the wee Doom guys and suit upgrades.  Absolutely brilliant to play on a commute.

weird it's usually the other way around. Wasn't hopeful after it's poor performance on PS4 but it's still annoying.

I'm very annoyed by the Rime port - I was REALLY looking forward to playing it on Switch.

 

Will probably go for PS4 now instead

I was looking forward to Rime.  Given how well Doom runs and well, Zelda of course and Mario - I'll put this down to being unfamiliar with the hardware. Shame.
