Is it bad that after a month or so I’ve still not played my Switch through a TV?

99% of my Switch use is handheld. It just feels so special playing it in the hand.

Gah, was going to order myself a Switch from Very.co.uk because when I checked yesterday the delivery date would've been Sunday. Just went to order it (as I've been paid) and the delivery date is now Tuesday or the 8th depending on which colour you want...

So there's no solution for charging with the Switch while stood up to play with detached Joycons? And no way to play on another TV away from the dock?

An iPad charger and the Hori stand will do it.

There are multiple ways for both issues!

A Hori stand and a USB C to HDMI dongle that supports USB C power delivery gives you all you need.

Has anyone manged to get Nintendo to replace a Joy-Con because of the disconnect issue? 

 

I had totally forgotten about it as I got the Splatoon Joy-Con and have pretty much only used them or the Pro recently, but today I picked up the neon blue/red to play mario and it disconnected a couple of times in a relatively short period of time.

 

Don't get me wrong, it was like twice - but that's twice more than the Splatoon ones have ever and it's a bit annoying.

 

There's nothing on Nintendo support site about getting replaced - or getting the foam. I've emailed them but wondered if anyones had a repair or done it themselves? Was it easy enough to do?

I’d get the Lamicall stand instead of the Hori one. For the small difference in price the quality is vastly better.

I thought those adapters didn't work because Nintendo used some proprietary stuff.

Nah, HDMI over USB C is part of the spec.

Yeah, they don't - that's why you need specific ones made with the Switch in mind. A basic USB-C to HDMI adapter won't do it.

I thought the problem was with the bluetooth on the switch motherboard not the controllers.

 

I maybe wrong but worth checking with others here and sending it back to Ninetendo

I sent my original off to Nintendo for repair ages ago, I need to send my other set off really but forgot to do it thus far.

I’m waiting for cloud saves before sending my Switch back for replacement.

 

I had my joycon “fixed” and it made no difference. My pro controller also glitches if I cross my legs and don’t have clear line of sight to the console.

 

I tried split joycon control with the switch on the kick stand on my desk and moving my hands down to my lap would cause disconnects.

What sort of lead do I need to charge a pro controller? IIRC it isn’t the same as my kindle. Is it same as 3ds? Same as wiiu pro?

Yes, it did. If you've lost it, all you need is a standard USB-C cable.

iPhone charger will charge mega slow, iPad faster
