I wouldn't worry. Once you have the system in your hands you won't look back.  There's loads of good indie stuff, ARMS is ace, I reckon you'll dig that.  Mario vs Rabbids. Tbh Mario and Zelda are gonna keep you occupied through til Christmas and beyond, especially if you're planning on picking up MK8 too.

It's no Wii. First and foremost this is a console for gamers, and it's the ultimate dad console ;)

I know I'm a bit of a fanyboy, but I do love my PS4 - but I've not bought a game on it since the switch released... because I haven't had to.

im on for picking up a Switch on Friday with MariO but having a few concerns that once ive finished that , rinsed Zelda then completed Mario Kart whats left for me ?

Basically i just need a pat on the back and some reassurance im not buying another Wii

That's about 18 months full time employment worth of game there of course.

But if you didn't play it elsewhere Stardew Valley and Golf Story could eat a lot more of your life for a start.

Are there any deals/bundles around at the moment? Keep thinking I want a Switch but that’s because I keep forgetting they’re £280.

Tesco were doing Switch + Rabbids + Lego Undercover for £299 which I thought was decent. Not sure if they still are mind....

Looks like yeah (link from postabargain on Twitter):

I got mine from Very.co.uk and used the code HELLOYOU which gives you %20 off your first order. So ended up paying £264 for the console and Breath of the wild. You don't have to sign your life away to them and take out credit either. I just bought it straight up.

£329.99 and the offer knocked off £66.

EDIT: Scratch that bit about the offer expiring at the end of October. It's actually valid until 13/11/17.

Is the Pro Controller a necessity? I'm starting to realize I need a Switch. I always see a bunch of "controls better with the pro controller" though for games. That adds on another £55-60 on the cost.

I’ve been thinking similar, with getting both Zelda and Mario tomorrow do I also bite the bullet and get a Pro Controller Or doesn’t it make that much difference ?

IMO yes but your mileage may vary!

@Orion Nah. I don’t have a pro controller, and I’ve no intention of buying one.

And I’m a guy who owns an* Xbox elite controller for a console he never plays.

* ‘a’ or ‘an’ ?  ‘a’ sounds wrong...

“An” - because it’s pronounced “exbox”.

I’ll go with that - cheers.

RE: Updates:  One of these recent one allows the Switch to automatically turn on my Bravia and switch to the right HDMI. Didn’t do that before.
