Hoping for Smash 4 Deluxe with all the Wii U and 3DS content in a single package.

Hard to see them going back now, they're probably working on a new installment instead.

As good as 50% off sounds, Snake Pass is a poor game. Even if you persist and get a good grasp of the unusual control scheme (which is essentially the only strength/USP of the game), the level design is repetitive and frustrating. It also has a time wasting save mechanic which means you end up repeating large chunks every time you die or you're constantly slithering back to the save point.

I feel for the guys who made it because they've tried something different but they haven't come up with something that's enjoyable to play. It's kind of like the old wire buzzer game where you slowly manoeuvre the little hoop, lest ye be buzzed. They've captured frustration, and there's certainly a charm to the presentation but it feels like they could have done with a level designer and someone to polish the gameplay loop.

This is the most words I've ever written about Snake Pass.

Do we know what happened with the Animal Crossing Mobile announcement yet ? Wasn’t it 7am our time ?

Even though they’ve flat out said their will be no information regarding a Switch title there is still 0.01% Of me that hopes they’re bluffing :(

Stupid question I can't answer right now:  Can you use the pro controller on the switch in handheld mode?

So If I bring the console and the controller I don't need a TV, right?

I'm sat watching footage of Skyrim and Doom and thinking that'll end up hurting my hands on the joycons eventually...

Have you ever tried snapping off the joycons and playing like that in tabletop mode? Perfectly comfortable, I reckon, and more comfortable than using the grip. It's probably the most relaxing configuration, reminds me of the Wiimote/nunchuk level of comfort, but less restrictive.

Quickly tried a gamecube pad before heading to work. Works fine - you need to goto controllers to get it to show up.

Tried it with sonic mania and no reason it won't work with anything else. Problem is, the gamecube always had a bad dpad IMO (too small) so i doubt ill get much use out of that. However i expect stuff like mario kart 8 dx will be nice to play, well any games that don't need an extra L trigger or home button.

I've found this to be great for anything that doesn't need you to click in the sticks. Otherwise the Pro Controller just works that much better.
