So after drunkenly ordering that Switch yesterday I’ve realised I haven’t really thought about what I need - I’ve basically ordered the Switch and nothing else, not even a game.

 

I’ll pick up MK8 on Monday, but do I need any memory cards or anything? I know about a pro controller, but I’m going to see how I find the joycons first.

 

I see people mentioning screen protectors, I’ve never put a screen protector on anything yet, and it’s unlikely I’ll take it out of the house. Is it an essential for dock/undock preservation though? You’ll be fine with onboard memory for a while. The dock shouldn’t scratch your screen unless it faulty.

The caveat is it's USB headphones, but apparently the PS4 headset works. You have to use the dongle so not much use in handheld mode unless you fancy having a USB to USB-C adapter and the dongle hanging from your switch but very welcome for when playing docked.

Or just plug the PS4 headphones in when using handheld.
