Splatoon has some sort of colour blind mode, I think you can lock it to always be the same two colours, obviously it would have to have at least one colour combo that works for you though...I don't know how it works though, might be worth a google.

Splatoon 2 also has it.

I didn't know that.

I always champion this case:

Cheap (£8:99) and does everything I need - including plenty of storage for an extra set of joy cons, USB cable etc if you shuffle the Velcro divider around. Don't put joy-cons in the pockets, that's nuts. Move the pockets, put stuff in the bottom. Sorted.

I went for a narrower model, bit more like the official case, but also hardshell:

Have you turned surround on in the Settings? If the Wii U is anything to go by, the Switch will output uncompressed 5.1.

That's exactly what it does -- my amp supports it (I think they pretty much all have since the first HDMI inputs?) but, for whatever reason, switching on 'surround' in the Switch settings doesn't trigger the amp to say 'hey, here's some 5.1!' (which I assume is technically accurate for how these things work).

Whereas -- if I go into the Switch settings, switch on Surround so it does the test, then flick to another input and back again, it recognises the 5.1 and works a treat. Very odd!

Surely the bigger question is why isn't he on here rubbing it in all of our faces?

Oh right, yeah, he's playing mario.

Last time I looked he'd only played 10 hours! So not only does he have it, he's not even bothering to play it!

A lot of games have a colourblind mode, CoD for example, that’s an absolute godsend

Heads up, on ps4 a few firmwares back they added some system level options in accessibility to help with colours that can be applied to all ps4 games. I'm not sure if that's will help you specifically but worth checking out if you have not yet.

Anyway... Back to Nintendo!

Big-N! Yeahhhhhhh!

Pretty sure the Switch has that too, I remember playing Thumper in black and white a while back.

I rag on Destiny a lot but credit where it's due.  Not only did it have colourblind mode, it had about 4 of them, specifically for types of colourblindness.

I bought a new TV and my Switch is behaving really weirdly with it - the screen keeps getting bigger and smaller, almost like its repeatedly changing aspect ratio.... although more like zooming in and out as the aspect ratio seems to stay the same.

All other devices are fine, and I’ve restarted both the tv and the Switch.

Any ideas?

It might be better if you mentioned what the model of the TV.

LG something or other.... 49” 4K.

Saw from googling that Samsung had some issues but googling hasn’t helped find anything like this.

Just tried it with another TV and works fine so must be the new TV :(
