Hehe, sorry, should have mentioned it was in the ‘coming soon’ section.

Tempted to get Golf Story but still haven’t started BotW, and Mario is in 10 days.

Mine is in the dock with joycons attached too.

I also have a case, it's where the games live, and where the Switch goes if I'm taking out for whatever reason.

Even if you're not using the dock connected to a TV, it's so convenient to just drop the console in, know where it is, and know it's fully charger next time you want it that I wouldn't do it any other way.

How the hell have I never thought of this! I use my Switch exclusively as a handheld, but always left the dock uselessly plugged into my telly. First job when I get home is to unplug it from the telly and install it somewhere at comfortable arms reach from my armchair.

This revelation has made my day.

I bought a lot of digital titles on 3ds, but now that it's nearing end of life, I know its the cartridge games I'll still be playing in playing in twenty years.

I'm buying the main games as cartridges this time, but digital for online games or games that I'll want to dip into and out of.

And of course, digital for all the wonderful indie titles.

FEW looks so mediocre and unimaginative though. Is there actually a good game buried underneath there?

YMMV but I absolutely *love* Hyrule Warriors.  LOVE

EDIT : And this is apparently even better than that one.

Never played a Fire Emblem, anyone care to give me one paragraph on what it essentially is and what it’s most like ?

I seem to remember the Fire Emblems being an RPG with Strategy elements ?

Just to note, Fire Emblem Warriors is *not* a standard FE game (those are strategic RPGs as you rightly remember) - it's a Musou hack and slash, fighting effort in the mold of Dynasty Warriors et al.

They are an acquired taste - but personally, I had a tonne of fun with the last one (Hyrule Warriors) so am really looking forward to this one.

This is why I failed on the FEW:LE when the official Nintendo store email came in.  I double dipped on HW on both WiiU and 3DS, and loved the ton of time I put into both, though I'm finding it hard to feel that excited about this one with Mario coming out the week after - and because it's FE rather than Zelda characters..

How does it look and play on Switch?

Only played it on the switch, not on a TV. It looks like an 06 shooter with HD textures. Some animations and transitions are super rough. Gameplay is exactly in line with a shooter of that era, although it's got some fun novelties like the way you manufacture supplies and special abilities. I'm enjoying it for what it is - didn't play it back in the day. But there's no denying - it's rough in a lot of ways
