I'm hoping more Indie game developers are seeing this and release their games on Switch. I want all the games! Well, these ones in particular:

Hotline Miami

Undertale

VVVVVV

Guacamelee

Castle Crashers

OlliOlli2

I don’t. Especially Guacamelle. Modern indie stuff ,yes. Old dated (imo) ports, no.

I'm waiting for this controller from 8bitdo, which does have (non-HD) rumble, as well as analogue sticks and L2/R2 triggers. The only real downside is the lack of NFC. Not to everyone's tastes, but I can see it being lovely for the retro and indie titles and not as expensive as the official pro controller at £39.99.

Not really even news anymore, but another game sells well on Switch:

...the game has already "smashed" expectations, according to publishing director Simon Byron, beating Day One sales for all other platforms it's been released on.

Fucking hell, are Switch owners all loaded or something?

I have no idea - I know I can't keep up with it all at the moment - so much stuff I want to play, but it's just impossible to buy everything.

I'm actually suffering from decision paralysis to be honest.

I can't keep on top of it - I'm just playing the games I want to play and will get the other games I want when I can.  I want Wulverblade and Steamworld 2 - no point getting till I'm done with Axiom Verge.

Has anyone played Wulverblade? I'd be keen to hear impressions if anyone has some....

Nintendolife thought it was great... I'm keen since I like the setting and the scottish accents :D

It's basically a 'regular Friday night' sim for anyone 'oop norff yeah?

Just read the Nintendolife review...hmmmm, sounds a bit hardcore for me. Not sure I want something quite so complex and punishing at the mo.

Just traded in some bits for eShop credit. Spaffed the lot on Butcher, Slime-San, Mighty Gunvolt, Forma.8, Thimbleweed Park, Golf Story and Steamworld Dig. That should keep me going! By the time I get around to most I'm sure they will be on sale.

Superbeat Xonic is coming to Switch!

If you have any sort of fondness for the classic abstract bemani games with floods of notes and daft J-pop, this will come as good news. It was my #2 game in Wiper's 2015 GOTY poll (behind Bloodborne) and it was a joy to play on the Vita. It works with buttons or touchscreen but is way more suited to the latter, and the interface has notes coming from the centre to the edges so you never run into the problem of your hands covering incoming notes. Also the notes vary between taps, holds, flicks and tracing lines, and there's tons to unlock. The music might not be to everyone's tastes and there's not that much familiar material on there, but it covers all kinds of genres.

It had already seen a PS4/Xbox release after the Vita version, so it's great that it's becoming available on more platforms

Due out at the end of November :)

I've only got 2, zelda and mario kart. I really shouldn't have bought mario kart again, I'd played it to death on the wii-u. Gotta get that sweet sweet extra frame though!

I'll have 3 when mario comes out.

I fancied graceful explosion machine but waited for the pc version, haven't really gotten around to playing that yet. Fancy gilf story as well but I'll wait a few months and see if a pc version gets announced, I've got plenty of games to be getting on with at the minute.

edit:  gilf story

I dread to think what it's like ending up in the rough or getting out your club and balls in that one.

If you are a new customer, and can stand a bit of fuckery, you can get the Grey one for £251 + 3.99 postage from very.co.uk, that's what I just did. If you don't fancy any of the bundles I think that's as cheap as its been so far. http://www.very.co.uk/nintendo-switch-grey-console/1600134960.prd

Somehow when I tried to do it I never saw a way to enter the code (I imagine because I'm a doofus) and the order was made and immediately uncancellable (it says you can refuse delivery to cancel it though). My heart sank, to be honest. Expected to have a long time on hold and an argument the next day. Anyway, rang them up (freephone) and they retrospectively applied the 20%, it was all very easy. I did have to point out it was a games department not electricals thing (ie 20% not 10%) to the operator but it was very friendly. Then all I had to do was to remember to pay it all off before the astronomical interest rate kicks in. Which I have done.

Thought i'd give this a go. Sadly after going through the freephone and being passed along quite a few times i only got 10%, as i believe they have updated their system due to the sheer amount of sales due to this deal. Still a good deal but could've been great if i got lucky. Thanks for the deal.

Same, I don't want to double dip on Wii U stuff - so far none of the Indie output has been compelling enough to purchase.

I'm quite interested in The Flame in the Flood and that Yono game. Haven't even got Stardew Valley yet after wanting it for ages as I'm busy with Golf Story and the Snes mini (and FIFA) at the moment.

It's a good complaint to have though, so much games! :D

Because it really doesn't make any sense - a games a game.

That's not true, not all games are equal. I buy games based on if I find them appealing (shocking).

So far indie games on the switch are being used to fill a dearth of third party releases by major publishers. Exactly how it was for the Wii U.

It's why I'm excited about Doom and Wolfenstein, as having those portable would be genuinely awesome.

I would very very seldom even consider the multiplat indie stalwarts on PS4 but I've got about sixty games on the Switch, probably fifty of which are indie titles, and I absolutely cane them. Yes, they're predominantly ports but for the most part, those games built around one core mechanic or repetitive loop are much more engaging in handheld, and as part of a digital library. So, I kind of get the criticism because I've only previously been interested in the absolute peak indie titles but the Switch has shown me that I'm a dolt.

I've been tempted to double dip on indies I have on pc I just can't bring myself to pull the trigger when I have free access to my pc and don't take my Switch out of the house.  Only reason would be so I can 'spend more time' sitting next to the missus while she is watching shit tv
