Digital Foundry aren't really there to provide reviews, they exist to offer objective technical comparisons of different versions of the same game that are useful for people who own multiple platforms. I'd say I don't know why so many people seem to have a problem with them but considering most of the objections to them arise in the Switch thread, it seems pretty obvious why.

Perhaps they take the "portability factor" into account. It's not all about framerates and wangaflops you know?

A lot of stuff on Switch has no other version to compare it to anyway, so they're hardly being treated unfairly.

I took the switch to bed last night and it felt great BUT the buttons make a sound when you click them. Sort of ok for something like GolfStory but I'd worry about annoying my partner if playing something like Bayonetta.

Am I right in thinking there's no optical out on the Switch? If so, I'll have to use the TV as a pass thru to my sound bar again, but that introduced lag with Blu Ray audio on the Xbox.

You're right, no optical out.

I think lighting up the room might be more of a distraction that the odd button click.

You can turn down the brightness of the screen at least. I wish you could control the volume of the button clicking.

Okay I've booked Mario Day off from work and after the Snes mini, I'm now a bit worried Amazon won't turn up until the afternoon.

Is it shopto that sometimes deliver games early?

Simplygames have been amazing on the early delivery front for me for a while now. Their prices are usually pretty good too.

 People genuinely think digitalfoundry are bias? Rllmuk just gets better every day.

Howay then, bias against what? Which system? The switch?

Just watched a Q&A with them where they literally said "Switch is awesome" and one of the reasons, or the main reason was that game play is king, and also that many of their games target 60fps.

Honestly don't think I've ever seem them be anything but positive about it.

Maybe there's a fox news alternative where instead of presenting the cold, dry facts in an unbiased fashion and informing the consumer on which platform it's best to buy a certain game for, they just tell you how great microsoft are.

Your partner has bigger things to worry about

I'm loving the Picross game, gets everything right control wise for me that just doesn't work on a phone touchscreen - I love how you can draw in cells then just mask over the top with an X for empty cells and it only repaints the blank ones, not the ones you've drawn in.

Only looked very briefly but not got my head round mega picross yet
