 What made you change your mind? It couldn't have been that indie snake clipping game from the estore.

I think deep down I had already decided that I wouldn't be able to cope with day to day life with people going on and on Mario Odyssey whilst not having a Switch.  If it doesn't get an Edge10 I'm going to be proper LIVID.

Ugh, found the Switch selling for $399 in Gamestop today. When I looked at Amazon it was selling for $500+ (from Nintendo) so presumed that was the main price so when I saw an 'offer' selling it for $399 to Prime users I jumped at the chance. Otherwise I'd have just waited for the Edge10 for Mario Odyssey and potentially save me a tonne of money if it got an Edge 9 or (gulp) 8.

I was playing Lego Worlds in handheld mode yesterday (Taking a break from Destiny 2). Seems good so far.

Can you attempt to explain it a little more to me. I thought it was more a Minecrafty thing but the trailer and demos I saw looked more like a normal lego game.

How does it actually work, what's the level of freedom, is it all missions?

Even I could have told you it was $400 in Canada :P

Just a point i spotted a few posts back, Stanley saying that the charging grip is a waste of time.

Yes it is overpriced, and should be packed in th box already... but do you know what? i love it!

i will NEVER have to attach the joycons to the screen again. This is very good.  And using them as a pad is great.

Never heard the sound of cognitive dissonance shout so loud.

I need to start taking my Switch wherever I go. Currently sat in the car whilst my youngest is asleep (unexpectedly). Perfect for playing some more Mario + Rabbids if only I'd been better prepared!

In relation to recent comments, this console has reignited my love of gaming after being pretty uninspired by the One and PS4. Spending so much more time playing games again - just need more hours in the day!

Look at you with your long words ;)

I may have to explain my workings.

I never use the ninendo switch as a traditional handheld, by means of attaching the joycons to it,

i stand it on a table etc and use the Joycons separate from the thing.

Hence why the rip off charging grip is perfecto for me.

I would also be very happy if it wasnt even portable!!

Is there much difference between the wired controller and the pro? Other than one being wired? Wired one is so much cheaper. How long does a PRO charge typically last?

Pro lasts for eternity, at least 40 hours in my experience.

I have held but not used the Hori one, no way is it going to be as nice to use as the Pro and of course lacks the gyro.

That sounds almost too good to be true. I swear, the wiiU gamepad would run out after 2 hours. I find the PS4 pads run out after 2-3 hours.

It sounds like you'd be better off with the Pro pad tbh.

Same here with wii u and PS4 pad, both shocking.

Nintendo quote 40 hours and I’d say that’s conservative tbh, it’s also the nicest pad to hold and use IMO!
