I am getting a switch with Zelda next Weekend. I already got Joy con charger from Nintendo.

Is there anything else I need

Memory card - I got 32GB card already on my old phone. Can I use that ? - will it be big enough for Mario Kart ?

HDMI Cable ?

Do I need a USB cable to plug in power supply or I can use one from PS4 controller to USB ?

Will get controller but not at 59.99

USB C Dock ?

Where the best place to buy digital download games cheap.

When you say joy-con charger do you mean the charging grip? If so you really don't need that as the joy-con charge lasts ages (around 17 hours) and they charge when attached to the Switch itself, It also comes supplied with a non charging grip out of the box. If you could get a refund for that, I would.

Secondly, consider getting a Pro Controller. Yes they're expensive but they're excellent, with a very long lasting charge. If you plan playing on the TV a lot it's a must.

If you're planning on going all digital then you'll need more than a 32gb sd card, if you're not then don't bother. Just get one later when you need it.

Oh my. I've spent the evening pissing around on the Great Plateau after putting my little one to bed and my wife on the sofa next to me. I've got Destiny 2 downloading to my PS4 for my 'TV gaming' time...it's been a good day.

With BOTW and Mario + Rabbids I think I'm well set for my holiday at the end of the month.  Any recommendations for cheap family-friendly I can pick up on eShop (after initial reticence I think going digital might be a very wise move)? Overcooked looks like fun...

Overcooked is a definate, great fun :) Though can be a little frustrating if you want to actually complete the levels and the other person / people are just messing about :D

But yeah that's definately good fun. Mario & rabbids has a co-op though I haven't tried it yet.

Errrm Bomberman price has started coming down (haven't tried it myself).

Minecraft & mario kart are obvious ones :)

Fast RMX is great. Snipperclips is good but liable to cause arguments and frustration (that could just be me, though)

It might not be cheap (although I picked it up for £30 on the trading folder here), but ARMS is really good fun.

I took the Switch around to a friend's house party, mainly so my seven year old could play minecraft (seems to be a thing now, all the kids on their parent's phone playing Minecraft individually). Nobody really noticed the Switch....

So we took off the controllers and myself and my son played two player arms (you don't have to use motion controls) and you should have seen the crowd gathering around the Switch. "What's that?", "Can I have a go?", "I might have to get this for Christmas"

Honestly, it was like something out of a Switch advert. Except there were only two millennial involved. And no rooftop.

But for a family friendly, multiplayer, one-on-one fighter, ARMS is great fun.

Also give the Blaster Master demo a try, you can have two player simultaneously - one controls the vehicle, the other controls an on-screen target sight. Puyo Puyo Tetris demo is also worth downloading you practically get a full multiplayer game with it.

It's definitely a thing. I get very, very faint marks on mine,  but they rub off. I don't know how you feel about screen protectors but I applied the one that comes with the official case the moment I took my Switch out of the box and it gives me peace of mind. I don't even notice it's there.

Rockstar Games Announces 4 New Versions of L.A. Noire coming November 14, 2017

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sep. 7, 2017-- Rockstar Games®, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ:TTWO), is proud to announce new versions of the blockbuster detective thriller, L.A. Noire, are scheduled to release on November 14, 2017 for the Nintendo Switch™ system, PlayStation®4 computer entertainment systems and for Xbox One games and entertainment systems.

Alongside these three new console versions comes LA Noire: The VR Case Files, featuring seven select cases from the original game rebuilt specifically for a virtual reality experience on the HTC VIVE™ system.

L.A. Noire takes place in the seedy and violent underbelly of 1940’s Los Angeles as decorated veteran and newly minted detective, Cole Phelps investigates an escalating series of cases inspired by real-world crimes. Each successfully solved case brings Phelps greater success, but also brings him closer to the dark criminal heart of post-war L.A. The game was an Official Selection of the Tribeca Film Festival for its cinematic approach to gameplay and narrative.

Utilizing a unique type of facial capture technology called MotionScan, L.A. Noire breathes unprecedented life into character performances, creating brand new gameplay out of the art of interrogation.

“We’re excited to bring L.A. Noire’s unique mix of real detective work, classic Hollywood atmosphere and thrilling action to these new platforms,” said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. “Now with a choice of spectacular virtual reality, stunning 4K, or the freedom of portable play, these enhanced versions are a perfect opportunity for players to experience this richly detailed world in a whole new way."

L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files for HTC Vive delivers seven of the original engrossing, self-contained cases from LA Noire rebuilt specifically for virtual reality, blending breathtaking action with true detective work to deliver an unprecedented interactive experience.

L.A. Noire for the Nintendo Switch features the complete original game and all additional downloadable content, with specific enhancements including a Joy-Con mode with gyroscopic, gesture-based controls, HD rumble and new wide and over-the-shoulder camera angles, plus contextual touch screen controls for portable detective work.

L.A. Noire for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One delivers the complete original game and all additional downloadable content with a range of technical enhancements for greater visual fidelity and authenticity, including enhanced lighting and clouds, new cinematic camera angles, high resolution textures and more. L.A. Noire plays natively in 1080p for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles, and stunning 4K for PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X, capturing the grit and grime of the City of Angels like never before.
