i gotta agree. That level looks really basic and flat. Hopefully they'll be a few Directs and show more. As it stands i'm still to be convinced.

Do you mean the the one with the pink liquid? I thought it looked pretty great. Maybe not visuals wise, if that's what you mean, but you could see the level was cherry picked to easily showcase puzzles and abilities. All of which looked brilliant. Personally I liked the clean candy graphics too.

Yeah.  It all look so basic in terms of mechanics.  I'm not mad on the visuals either but i'm more into game mechanics and it just seems... ok. 

 

Experience tells me the game will be brilliant but I'm underwhelmed by what I've seen.  I think it looks worse than any previous 3D Mario game.   At this point I was pretty excited for 3D world,  Galaxy,  Sunshine,  64.    With Odyssey I'm just running on blind faith in the developer.   I'm fairly sure I'll change my tune when it comes out but this is the first time I've not been impressed by early views of a 3D Mario game.

Sounds good.  Did you also pick up another charger, or do you plan to just use the Nintendo one?

I presume it's doing full res, output?  Any other issues compared to the normal dock?  I'd love a 2nd dock for my games room as unplugging is a pita and the Switch lives in the living room, but with the official charger costing 25 quid, it's still at the price point where I'd rather just buy another game ;)

Picked up Forma.8 and it's pretty good so far. A little sluggish to control, but I can see it being a nice game to play alongside a podcast or two so it gets a thumbs up.

 

Owning a Switch feels like the early days of Xbox Live Arcade to me, where you're just desperate for new stuff to play all the time, and every other week you're adding another title to your ever-expanding collection. Love it.
