Just noticed that Lego Worlds is out fairly soon. My kids like open world games (they're both playing Minecraft on the Switch) and they like Lego games. Is this worthwhile? I suspect it'll hold its trade in value if they really hate it but I can't see them not liking it and playing it for a long time. I didn't even consider Lego Dimensions as I don't earn £50,000 a week ;)

Is Retro City Rampage any good? I can find reviews for the 3DS version which seem favourable.

I bought it ages ago before they did the DX update, I enjoyed it for what it was, a cheap GTA a like with some goofy humour thrown in, if you can find it for a good price, then I'd recommend it :)

Well my switch arrived yesterday out of the blue! Tesco are such teases, telling me it would be dispatched on the 18th!

It's a bit good, isn't it? Everything's so fucking slick.

Currently pouring little portions of my life into Zelda, which despite having completely different mechanics, still feels like a Zelda game. It's almost a shock how unforgiving it is, though!

I picked up the Wii version and it was a little disappointing...

Why? I guess it was how it started off as "Grand Theftendo" - a GTA clone on the NES - had years of delay and when it was finally released on the Wii, it wasn't as open ended as I thought (and it had way too many retro pop culture references).

In saying that, it's probably pretty good when you remove all that baggage that came with it (and the 'sequel' looks really good, which is out on the Switch later this year).

My Melowpow M001 arrived and it works using the Nintendo charger and HDMI cable!

The buttons on docked joycons are disabled as usual so it all looks pretty good :)

So ~£17 for a spare portable dock (+an extra charger and HDMI cable)

will any USB C USB charge cable work for charging?

Ie can I buy a £1.99 cable from ebay as a spare to use with USB adaptor?

Yep. How quickly it charges (and whether you can play and charge or just slow the drain) depends on the PSU output.

Zelda surely???

I am playing I am Setsuna at the moment.

Have picked up the troll & I hoping they have sorted the bugs that plagued the initial release (I have not played it yet but taking a gamble) so will let you's know on that later.

Errrm Mario & Rabbids is out this week @RetroPlays it's one that looks pretty epic if im honest, I have that preordered :)

I'm sure many on here would recommend Splatoon & Arms.

I would probably recommend Disgaea too if you are into your strategy rpgs.

Tried a few demos of what are available on the eshops, some are good, Rayman plays well, didn't enjoy monster hunter. What games does everyone recommend?

I've Mario kart currently, ordering sonic mania this week and have Mario Odyssey pre ordered :).

Stating the obvious: Zelda BOTW.

Ah should have mentioned Zelda is on my Christmas list so to speak, I'm moving to oz in January so I'm keeping it for the flight :).

Mario and rabbids doesn't look like my sort of game tbh. I love the style but gameplay isn't for me. I'll have a look at that I am setsuna cus don't know anything about it.

Splatoon looks fun, pokken tournament is on my list too.

Hopefully Nintendo show off a new game or 2 at gamescom. Only just seen the yoshi footage yesterday and it looks like it'll be fun for co op
