In the spirit of stupid questions, is it possible to add friends using the online app? Or can you only do that with through the Switch itself?

You have to search for them on the Switch, then send the invite from the phone app, then they have to accept the invite from a web browser, after which you can then add them to your friend list via a different phone app. When that's done, you can invite them into an actual game via text message, and then communicate in game via email.

Overcooked is perfect switch fodder - assuming they've not ballsed up the conversion (no reason to think they have)

I went onto amazon to look at Splatoon amiibos (definitely wasn't buying any). I now have 2 coming. And a Splatoon pro controller.

You can get a third party mini dock which is more like a dongle, not sure of their stability but Digital Foundry reviewed one and said it was OK. I'm fine with the dock. At least when you get the screen protector you won't worry as much.

SFANS adapter. Eurogamer recently reviewed it.

Nyko dock.

I very rarely buy new games on launch day, as I find it very difficult to justify 50 quid on any game these days.

I don't seem to have this problem with the Switch though. I've gladly bought every major release on day one, and all as downloads. I'll be there for Mario vs Rabbids, Skyrim and Super Mario Odyssey too :D

I absolutely cannot wait for Skyrim on the Switch.  It's the perfect console for it... there's so much you can do in that game such as smithing or honing skills which makes it perfect for the commute.  I completed the game on PS3 - but basically blasted through the story as a previous save was corrupted after about 90 odd hours.  There's loads and loads I've yet to do in that game.

Also had no idea that Rogue Trooper was coming out for Switch as well.

THE ABSOLUTE BEST CONSOLE OF THE ALL TIME FOREVER

Anyone else got scratches on the edge of the switch, not on the screen itself but the metal coating part surrounding it? I've had it in and out of the dock less than five times (since I'm still waiting for a screen protector before trying it again) and already there are several small scratches.

After spending £320 on it, I'm considering taking it back. Why didn't they just go for an open dock with no front that the thing couldn't scratch against??

Is Rogue Trooper Redux Switch-bound? :o

I'm looking forward to trying Skyrim for the first time.

Oh, yes! Finished it on the original Xbox and played about 25% of it on the Wii.

My new Joycons are arriving today from Amazon. What's the process for getting Nintendo to replace my left Grey one with the signal issue?

They don't replace, they repair (they insert a small piece of foam, and it does appear to entirely fix the issue - at least, it has for me). Book in online here:

I think it's only for playing with/against somebody who has paid for the game on another Switch(?)
