Naaa, but every communication with them has referred to it as a Switch. When it was lost they actually did ask if it was the whole thing or just the controllers and I was honest and said just the controllers. I'm convinced I could have told them it was the whole lot and they'd have ended up replacing it (and probably sooner).

Hi Guys,

 

Can anyone help me out here, I've had my Switch just over a month and have maybe used it in handheld mode for 30 hours in total in that time.  Today, I found that when I switched it on the whole left side of the screen was noticably flickering.  It's not overly evident when the screen is bright, but when it's dim or coloured in mid-grey it becomes very annoying.

 

Is this a thing?

Reboot. If it still does it then sadly you're sending it back to Nintendo :( God speed

My replacement joy con arrived and work better than the old ones, that is they're unreliable at sitting on the sofa distance rather than just disconnecting constantly. 

 

Still need to to sort out the compensation but, their latest offer was £30 eShop credit. I'm gonna push for a game's worth.

Maybe they might just be able to give you a first-party game code rather than general credit - tell them you want Splatoon 2 digitally or something and see if that's easier for them to do than to issue you with £50 of general credit that could go on a third-party game etc

Splatoon request in, just gotta wait to see if management approve it now. 

 

In between all the hassle I'm still playing zelda. Im using a guide to find the remaining shrine quests and have found a couple more randoms while exploring unvisited areas so less than 20 to go now. Got a lot more korok seeds as well. 

 

I shoukd probably have a proper proper go at the trial thing too but maybe I'll save it for after I've got all 120 shrines.
